What are some of your favorite movies that have a bond actor star in them? A big one for me is highlander starring Sean Connery. "There can be only one".

Connery has too many. Marnie, The Man Who Would Be King, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Hunt for Red October, etc. Really, he's brilliant in everything he's in, even if the material isn't great.

I saw Gettysburg, and that's about all I can mention for Lazenby. The only other pictures I've seen him in are Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E and The Man from Hong Kong. Wasn't impressed with the last two.

Roger Moore... hmm. Definitely The Man Who Haunted Himself and Gold. He was pretty good in The Cannonball Run too. I also liked him in Shout at the Devil!, but as with the others I've listed here, I've only seen it once. Still, he left a good impression on my first viewing of all of these, so that can only be a good sign. I've yet to see Sea Wolves and The Wild Geese, which I'm pretty sure I'd also enjoy. The Saint and The Persuaders! should also go without saying.

Timothy Dalton seems to be stuck with films that don't get good reviews, but then again, so was Moore. I liked him in The Rocketeer and definitely in Hot Fuzz. For a more recent role, he's very good in Penny Dreadful.

Pierce Brosnan is good in basically all of his post-Bond films. The Matador is a good example, and I actually enjoyed him in The November Man - moreso than in his later Bonds, at least. For an earlier film that he was in, Mrs Doubtfire.

As for Daniel Craig, I regretfully haven't seen too much from him. Defiance is definitely worth mentioning. I guess Layer Cake is as well.

Sean - The Hill, The Offence, The Man Who Would Be King, Indy, Red October, The Rock.

    George - Err Emanuelle?

    Rog - North Sea Hijack

    Tim - Flash Gordon

Pierce - The Long Good Friday, Tailor of Panama

    Dan - Layer Cake, Munich

Connery- The Man Who Would Be King, Darby O Gill and the Little People (especially when he sings), The Anderson Tapes, The Untouchables and Indy 3.

Lazenby-Never Too Young To Die, Superboy.

Moore- The Saint, Maverick as Cousin Beau, The Man Who Haunted Himself, and The Naked Face.

Dalton- Hawks (easily my favorite-a very funny, yet genuinely moving performance. Aspiring actors out there watch Tim in Hawks), The Rocketeer, Tales From The Crypt "Werewolf Concerto" and Jane Eyre

Brosnan- Taffin "Then maybe you shouldn't be living HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERE!", Around The World In 80 Days "....one FULL DAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!", Dante's Peak, Live Wire "it means....we don't know what the f*** is going on", and Mister Johnson.

Craig- Enduring Love "It wasn't the f***ing WIND!"

Nelson- The Man With My Face-an interesting somewhat noirish thriller along the lines of Moore's The Man Who Haunted Himself. A Guy Named Joe with Spenser Tracy.

    Niven- The Bishop's Wife.

Craig- Munich, Tomb Raider, Star wars Force Awakens, Layer cake, and The Girl with the Dragon tattoo.

    Not funny at all.

=)) funniest thing I've read all day well done.
  • Connery - I remember that I saw him in The Man Who Would Be King, which was very good. It's a toss-up between that and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, with The Hunt For Red October coming in third.

Lazenby - Haven't seen anything from him other than OHMSS.

Moore - I remember watching The Saint as a child, so that will forever be in my memory as his best performance. The Persuaders too.

Dalton - Hot Fuzz and Penny Dreadful.

Brosnan - The Matador or The November Man.

    Craig - Layer Cake.

Great shout on Hawks Sir! Treads the very tricky line between being funny and heart breaking superbly.

Connery - THE OFFENCE, THE UNTOUCHABLES and THE RUSSIA HOUSE.

Lazenby - He was a good villain in THE MAN FROM HONG KONG (and convincing in the fight scenes). The disturbing Venice-set thriller WHO SAW HER DIE? is worth catching ... unfortunately, in the English-language version Laz's voice was dubbed by another actor. SAINT JACK and GETTYSBURG are both terrific movies but Laz doesn't have much to do in them.

Moore - Delivered three excellent, atypical performances in THE MAN WHO HAUNTED HIMSELF, FFOLKES (NORTH SEA HIJACK) and THE NAKED FACE.

Dalton - The BBC production of JANE EYRE (arguably Dalton's most moving and heartfelt performance) and either FLASH GORDON or THE ROCKETEER. I would like to see HAWKS.

Brosnan - THE FOURTH PROTOCOL, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS (TV miniseries) and THE GHOST WRITER.

Craig - LAYER CAKE and DREAM HOUSE (not a great movie but a challenging role for Mr. Craig).

Roger Moore in The Man Who Haunted Himself (1970) certainly deserves a mention here. A brilliant piece of acting; perhaps even his best.
