If she wins (still most likely) I'm pretty sure she will make Nixon look like a saint when it's all said and done, and that's because the other side will make it their #1 mission in life to vilify her and she will play into it. Good thing Tim Kaine can take over at a moment's notice, because he may have to.

Trump will win. How deranged are you to say Clinton will win :-). Trump! I agree though that Trump will be as transparent and kind and empathic as both Roosevelt and Obama. Trust me.
If you want to believe that nonsense, you're welcome to. Those who vote for him don't, I can assure you.
  • When you have to explain a joke it obviously wasn't very good. @Gustav, please come down off that ledge. Life will be better in the morning.

I saw a lot to be optimistic about in last night's Democratic Convention. The Bernie people have lots of passion and that's a good thing. When they take a look at the platform Hillary and Bernie hammered out together, they'll realize there's a lot worth supporting in the current Democratic Party. Plenty of great speakers who really took it to Donald, including Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Al Franken, and Michelle Obama. Bernie himself really brought the message home. There has been a spirited campaign, and now it's time to unite behind our candidate. I'd rather see the controversy out front, expressed and dealt with, the way it is in Philadelphia, than have it stifled and stymied backstage, only to erupt in hatred the way it did with Cruz in Cleveland. What's that I hear about George Will, Mr. Conservative Commentary himself, endorsing Hillary? That's Republican unity for you. Bernie is with Her too, and when the votes are counted, that's the sort of thing that will matter.

Barack Obama said "Yes We Can" ...but Donald says "I ALONE can fix this mess." The current Democratic campaigns says both "We Stand With Hillary" and "Hillary Stands With Us." Now which sounds to YOU like the pronouncement of a would-be Messiah? Sit down, Cheeto Jesus, the U.S. intelligence community wants to talk to you about your links to Russian intelligence...

Then they should be locking up half of the DNC as we speak.

I was referring to @Gustav_Grave's remark. "Kill" is a keyword they look for. Hating is acceptable and is a way of life in American politics so the 'b' bit will probably fly.

Hillary Clinton should be in prison.
I know so many people who are democrats and hate trump but don't agree with how she got off so easily.

    My money's on trump.
He's more popular and has way more followers on social media (which is huge). Don't completely agree with his views but I want him over Clinton..

Someone even said make sure trump has an amazing running mate because trump will get impeached and the VP will become president LOL

I have ongoing bet with friends on how fast Trump starts a war or nukes someone.

Exactly @BondJames! That's a great bit of understanding from your side.

But that's why we should come up with more hateful remarks! "Shoot the damn bitch!", "Lock her up in orange pants!", "Rape the crooked organism!", "Don't kill her, but at least shoot her in the tits!". It all makes so much more sense now.

And that speech from Michelle Obama? What a weak big-armed hobbit she is. What needs to count is TRUMP, TRUMP and nothing else than TRUMP! And collectively chant "We hate Hillary! Indict the crooked bitch!" This is what makes America GREAT again. Wanna join @Bondjames? Let's understand all this :-)

    The Republicans and Democrats ;)

I had a shityy day today. Felt awfully bad today. And as you may know, sometimes a mental illness does that to you. But....obviously I was also playing the devil's advocate a bit. Because make no mistake, this is what cheered me up again a bit :-). This is a message that unites, brought a few tears to my eyes, and made me feel positive again. As opposed to other messages of hate, like I did as well during my short time as 'devil's advocate' :-). This message unites. I will miss the Obama's:

Wow, between the Bernie or Bust protests, the emails leaking, and the daily terrorist attacks around the globe, Hillary's grip on this presidency is slipping more and more each day.

Can't blame her for your life's failure. That hangs on you.

Stephen Colbert addresses quite cleverly how Trump has changed his mind more than his underwear since running for the big chair:

I love the disdain for the man Stephen exudes.

I assume that Hillary's running ads with that quote from Trump praising her. I've seen the ones where she's replaying all of Trump's foul language while showing children watching him on TV, but that's the only one I've seen.

You'd think that particular one would stick to Trump. She's been out of office since Trump made those comments, so it's not as though she's managed to screw anything else up since then. You almost have to wonder if his candidacy was originally meant to torpedo the Republican field and give Hillary an easy path to the White House but has somehow gone horribly wrong.

Yeah, whereas Hillary is the most trustworthy, transparent candidate to date. Just ask the protesters outside the DNC.

Trump's fighting a classic asymmetric disrupter battle, but in the political field. The old rules are out the door as far as he's concerned, and the sooner his opposition figure that out (they still appear not to have from the way they are attempting to take him on) the faster they will be able to save their careers.

Regarding Sanders: His movement is bigger than him and includes a lot of independents. Party unity means nothing to them. His message meant everything....more than him....and I don't think he knows how to control it now because it's bigger than him. Having said that, I applaud him for at least trying.

On the RNC side the movement is with the nominee. On the DNC side it's the opposite.

On Sanders, it would seem to me that them continuing to try to force the unity is actually making it worse. Every time he gets up in front of the convention, or the delegate breakfasts, and talks up Clinton, it makes things worse. Latest news is that they're negotiating to have him be the one to formally nominate Clinton.

Perhaps they should just have Sanders back away from the convention. The more he speaks, no matter how good his intentions are of getting his supporters on board with Clinton, its seeming to backfire as much as help.

I agree, and it's because everyone knows he's just going through the motions. His integrity is in question and he would have been better off pulling a Kasich imho.

There are so many struggles facing Hillary at the moment. She has been dragged to the left by sanders, and given little opportunity to pivot thus far. She is suffering from death by a thousand leaks, which don't help her favourables. And most of all she has to somehow fight the biggest populist uprising this century. I won't rule Clinton out yet, but in the current climate its hard for any establishment candidate to survive, let alone win. She will have a serious fight on her hands.

For what offense, exactly? Using a personal email server is not illegal. It's just stupid. And no matter how much you really, really, really WANT proof that Clinton intentionally sent classified info to the wrong hands, it's not there. Because she didn't.
