Quick rough draft, still working on things.
Kind of a SPECTRE sequel kind of my own thing.

This is just a quick teaser, let me know if anyone has any ideas
or thoughts.

"James Bond 007"
"Never Dream Of Dying"

Screenplay by CJ Carpenter

Gun barrel

Pre titles

Ext: Small city/ Foreign location
(Daytime/Cafe)

We see two men (foreigners) both well dressed talking out front of a cafe, one is holding a briefcase.

They talk and make gestures deep in conversation before a man walks by them nodding and entering the restaurant.

Camera pans out of a newspaper.

The newspaper is folded and we see James Bond sitting outside;(wearing a leather jacket, collared shirt tucked into black dress pants). He is sitting with an attractive woman in a sun dress, she is on the phone chatting away while Bond looks bored.

Bond notices the men inside and gets up to follow the woman says "Where are you going?", Bond makes a quick excuse "Out of coffee. I'll be back."

INT: Busy coffee Shop

Bond walks through a packed coffee shop, keeping his distance from the three men who just entered. The shop is extremely busy lots of shouting and yelling, Bond makes his way to the back entrance looking out the window he sees the men walk towards an alleyway, he leaves the shop slowly following.

EXT: Alleyway/Daytime

Camera shows the front of the three men navigating there way between the alley, showing Bond in the background casually walking. The men finally stop at an older looking door, one of them looking back (Bond hides behind a wall). They enter the door and Bond looks around finally finding a small window.
Climbing up a few boxes he peeks in and sees a long dimly lit room. The three men find there places at the table, (foreigners next to each other, other guy sits further down). We see a total of 8-10 men all dressed in dark clothing. One guy sits at the foot of the table and asks the men to show him the symbol. The group of men take off the infamous SPECTRE rings. "Now we are going to discuss escape operation of number one. Ernest Stavro Blofeld."

We see a total of 8-10 men all dressed in dark clothing. One guy (Number two), sits at the foot of the table and asks the men to show him the symbol. The group of men take off the infamous SPECTRE rings. "Now we are going to discuss escape operation of number one. Ernest Stavro Blofeld."

Some of the men look nervous but don't say anything.

    Number two continues.

"At exactly 1200 hours, number one initiated his panic button (we see number two hold up a SPECTRE ring indicating the ring had a tracker/panic button), we have located him and he has been confirmed to be at a CIA/MI6 joint location in Panama City. He will be transporting tomorrow in minus thirteen hours."

"Now phase one involves number three and..." (Voice trails off) quick camera cut to Bond's POV.
We see hinx appear right infront of the window smiling at Bond.
Bond frightened falls off the boxes and starts to run for it, we hear a commotion inside.

    EXT: Outside alleyway

Bond makes a run for the staircase running up the steps, has we see Hinx walk outside laughing. The rest of the men go off in separate directions blending into a giant crowd

Bond nears the top of the roof before we hear gunshots bouncing off the railings. Bond stops for a second to look at Hinx (You can tell something is not right with him. His face is badly scarred and one side of his body is shaped in an odd way).

Hinx starts to run after Bond, we see Bond make it to the rooftop with Hinx in pursuit. Bond navigates his way across several rooftops while Hinx fired his gun repeatedly at him, Bond hides behinds a wall looking for a way out. He sees a staircase and makes a run for it sliding down the rails he sees Hinx start to climb down. He pulls out his walther and fires a few shots hitting him in the arm the bullets bounce off. Hinx continues to laugh.

Bond finds his way into the city which is extremely crowded. He looks around. Hiding his gun in his jacket. He tries to blend in, but after awhile is quickly spotted by Hinx and two SPECTRE agents. They point at Bond shouting. Bond turns around to see a car pull up the door opening. It's the girl from the cafe. Bond looking back, has no choice but to get into the car.
"You'll be back huh?" The girl looks annoyed at Bond, the car
speeds off and they appear to lose Hinx. Bond hears a voice in the backseat. "6 months in the drain 007. 6 months." It's Felix leiter.

    Bond looks somewhat surprised.
"Felix. I need your help. It's Blofeld. Spectres going to break him out and" Felix interrupts him.

"Now hang on James, I assure you we have everything under control." They start to argue,

(Car starts to drive out of the town, we see a country side and huge bridge in the distance)

Bond "Really? Then why the bloody hell are you here."

Felix "The CIA has a joint operation with MI6. This man (he holds up a photo of Hinx), killed three of our agents in New York a year ago. We have been tracking him since. He's a ghost, we finally found him and you screwed up, now we may have a chance to
    find him aga.."

Felix is interrupted by gunshots shattering the window. We see two blacked out suburbans and Hinx with a type of machine gun spraying bullets at the car. The girl driving starts to swerve has they enter a bridge.

The car loses control and smashes into the the bridge falling into the giant lake the car quickly submerging to the bottom. We see Hinx looking out the window. The suburbans speeding off.

    MI6 - EXT SHOT

    Clear

    MI6 - INT SHOT (M's office)

(Bond enters M's office closing the door behind him. We see Bond wear a dark blue suit, black tie, left arm in a sling. M is sitting at his desk in a cloud of smoke. He motions for Bond to sit down while he is on the phone).

    M ends his call.

"007. How are you feeling." -M

"A little sore, but I'll live." -Bond

"Good. I just got off the phone with the director of the CIA, he says Felix is expected to make a full recovery. The female agent is still in critical condition however." -M

"Do we have any leads Sir?" - Bond

"We read your report, your Intel reguarding Blofeld has called for extreme security measures to insure he won't be a problem. Nothing to worry about 007. Q managed to identify one of the men you were following before the attack. A 'Yusuf Alexander', he boarded a plane to Dubai exactly three hours ago. I have arranged for you to fly to Dubai immediately.
I don't want you to have any contact with 'Alexander', we need mode informationI believe he is just a radical gun for hire." -M

    "What about Hinx?" -Bond

"He's a ghost. You'll be updated if need be of any new details." -M

    " Yes Sir. Understood." -Bond

"Now please go see Q for equipment debriefing." -M

Bond stands up nods to M and is about to leave when M makes a comment.

"And Bond..Stay out of troublel." -M

    Bond smirks. "Dont I always?"

    Bond leaves. Fade to black.

The title might not be a top notch, but the novel by Benson is a terrific one.

As for the script above, looking forward to reading more, @CASINOROYALE.

Not to be a nit-picker but Bond wouldn't be on active duty if his arm is in a sling...?

Quite..but in the narrative above ,M is sending Bond off immediately to get equipped etc WHILE Bond is still wearing the sling..Bond only got on his mission in TWINE after seducing the doctor,he was not cleared for the field before that,so you cant compare the 2 scenarios @dragonpol ...

Not, really, it was probably more that what I typed above about TWINE was ambiguous in nature.

One thing people tend forget is that there's two sides to Bond. The assassin who is always involved involved in non stop action and then the actual spy part of Bond...Been watching a lot of the Connery/Moore films and I always got the vibe he was more of an undercover agent who was gathering intel rather than Craig's assassin. I do love Craig but it is nice to balance everything.

I don't think I intended Bond to have a broken arm. More like extremely bruised. Keep in mind he was just in a car that flipped over a bridge into water, he is bound to be somewhat injured.

You can get by on a seriously bruised/banged up arm after a few weeks. I had a similar sports injury.
I was in a sling and couldn't move my arm for a week. Once it healed it was still sore but I was fine.

On the title, I always loved "NDOD", not sure why... Consider it a working title until I think of something more original?

Although it's not original, No One Lives Forever is a good one. Great work, by the way.

No One Lives Forever will confuse the fans. Nobody Lives Forever will sit better with the title, and dare I say an adaptation of Gardner's novel would be terrific.

    Great title suggestion!
    Still brainstorming on ideas...
I do like the Shatterhand storyline of Blofeld. Dancing around with the idea of bringing Vesper back somehow. Maybe just to lead Bond on or to confuse him?

    Q Lab underground

An elevator makes its way down to the basement of MI6. The door opens to reveal James Bond. He walks out and navigates his way through the busy Q lab. We see tons of men and women working on various equipment, all wearing white lab coats. Bond walks over to his DB5, he notices the headlights are removed and starts to inspect it when Q slides out from underneath the car.

    "Miss me?" Bond smirks.

"Ah Bond. I thought I had gotten rid of you." He glares at Bond.

Q stands up and walks over to a table while 007 follows.

"Right. Now I have some equipment that you might find useful while you are in the field." He holds up a cigar tube.

"Intriguing. I didn't know you smoked." Bond jokes.

Again, Q glares at Bond while removing the cap and taking out a rebreather.

"If you ever find yourself in a situation to where you can't hold your breath, this will give you exactly ten minutes of extra air." -Q hands it to Bond.

"Of course I have also packed your standard Walther PPk and Omega into your briefcase. I have one more thing for you which I am extremely proud of."

Q holds up a black belt and removes a small silver antenna from the buckle.

"Highly explosive prototype. The detonator is in your watch. Completely waterproof"

Bond takes the belt, putting it in his briefcase. "Prototype? I assume it's safe?"

Q cracks a smile "Well, we will find out now won't we...007?"

    "Q..." -Bond
