hahaha that's fun for sure. Some fans will go all the way!

They certainly do! Got to appreciate this level of detective work!
That the open Guide Michelin shows a map of Biarritz is not necessarily a goof. Bond must have got to Portugal with his British-registered Vantage somehow. Going from Britain or the North of France to Portugal, Biarritz seems like a perfect Bond stopover. It's almost exactly half-way between Calais and Estoril, on the shortest and quickest route possible. A (formerly?) glamourous place with elegant hotels, a casino, good food and drinks, and in the southwesternmost corner of France. Bond might just have stayed there the night before and then gone on to Portugal without closing the Michelin guide on the passenger seat.

That thought crossed my mind as I was reading that blog post too; He could've been on his way too or from Biarritz – or even just looked through the Michelin guide for light reading, and then just put the book down open on his passenger seat.

What's interesting though, is the level of detail that went into that shot in the first place. They could just as easily have filmed Lazenby put down the sunglasses down on an empty car seat.

Between YOLT and TSWLM, there are no typical Q scenes.

OHMSS, radioactive lint and wedding moment.

DAF, phone call, chat with Tiffany

    LALD, nothing!

    TMWTGG, talking about bullets.

Really quite an odd thing and I can't believe I never noticed it. Is Lewis Gilbert the true mastermind behind the classic Q lab scenes?

Watching LTK for the umpteenth time and I've only just noticed Bond's scars on his body in the scene where he's in bed with Lupe.

A nice touch. A 4K TV really does make a difference!

Just been flicking through an old copy of 007 Magazine and came across a shot of M’s portrait (Bernard Lee) on the wall of the MI6 castle in TWINE. I’ve watched the film many times (including twice at the cinema) and never noticed that at all - not even heard mention of it.

I’m sure this will be nothing new to most of you here, but it just shows there’s always something to be found from rewatching Bond - my next Bond watch will have to be TWINE again to look out for it!

I saw the film twice and the cinema when it came out and failed to notice them then! Perhaps i was distracted by Lupe...

This isn’t really a never noticed it before. More of a I have noticed, and wondered if anyone else had.
In Skyfall the same extra can be seen during the tube sequence.
First when Silva is at Temple.

And shortly after at The Embankment when Silva loses Bond in the crowd. Briefly.

Interesting - not noticed before, but of more importance what’s happened to his laptop bag, and what was inside it? 🤔 Clearly he’s up to no good and should be flagged as a person of interest immediately!

Those scenes were all filmed at Charing Cross, so the same extras were probably used for both, possibly filmed on the same night (although I don’t know for sure).

Out of the hundreds of times I've seen GE, I never noticed the tiny woman (man?) sitting behind Bond in a doorway as he climbs out of the pool. I always surmised he was alone in that pool area with Xenia and her goon.

Good catch. I believe there aren't many who spotted that woman.

Watching TLD I noticed the 'Gran Cafe De Paris' in Tangier seen across the road from where Bond is spying on Pushkin was also used prominently in The Bourne Ultimatum.

    Cloakroom attendant, maybe?

Or a pervert trying to sneak a peek at Bond's goods.

Don't know if I just forgot it over the years, but I don't recall noticing that Gregg Wilson is dubbed the author of the article on Gustav Graves that Bond is reading on his flight back to London.

Interesting. Didn't know that and never read about this before.

Roger Moore's daughter Deborah is in the same scene.

Similar drawer units (although in different width) appear in the GF PTS, and later in the film, at Goldfinger’s stud farm:

@Torgeirtrap I love when you find these things. Do you look at the furniture or just have a memory for this kind of stuff? It really adds another layer to my Bond movie watching. I would guess that in the modern Bonds there are less instances of this stuff!

I was watching a bit of Spectre and the Mexican bird that was with Bond in the opening looks exactly like the American congresswoman Alexandira Occasio Cortez.

In truth I had noticed this for the first time last year, but forgot about it until this latest viewing of LALD.
Without thinking about it too deeply, I’ve always had the impression that the great Sheriff JW Pepper was a presence throughout a large chunk of the film (and I first saw it in a theatre in ‘73), but he actually first appears with only 34 minutes remaining in the movie, then he’s gone 13 minutes later, which blew my mind. He must have left quite a huge impression on me as a kid.

I have had the same experience with things I saw as a kid and then rewatched at a much later stage.

I’m sure this has been pointed out before, but you can see the year “2006” on a disc Bond uses in CR and “2008” on the invitation card for Greene’s party in QOS. Given QOS is set right after CR, small consistency flaw.

Yes. It's likely just a prop error, as there's no feasible moment from CR-QoS that could exist as a two year gap.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you could argue the Mr. White confrontation at the end of CR took place two years after the events of the film.

I suppose if you wanted, but to me it doesn’t make sense why Bond would wait that long.

It's a stretch, but it could have taken that long to track him down. Blofeld was in hiding for a few years following YOLT in the movie continuity, after all, and Mr. White was supposedly a high ranking operative in the organization. Honestly, trying to tie together Bond chronology is next to impossible anyway. Heck, I bet Spectre takes place in 2015, despite taking place shorly after Skyfall in 2012.
