Someone posted earlier about negativity on this thread when we should be celebrating a new Bond film. But at the beginning of filming, here we have the central actor, DC, saying (in The Mirror apparently) that he thinks maybe the next Bond should or could be a woman, or maybe even black. It's like he's just tossing it in the face of Barbara Broccoli, when he knows she said earlier 'Bond is male. He's a male character. He was written as a male and I think he'll probably stay as a male...We don't have to turn male characters into women. Let's just create more female characters and make the story fit those female characters.' I agree with her and would not follow the franchise anymore if Bond becomes a woman, because the character is a man. What Craig said makes me think less of him. Doesn't he respect the character of Bond?! I've enjoyed his Bond films until now. Not to mention I don't support Malek as the villain. And I hear most of the script is not written. Things just don't seem to be off to a good start in my opinion. However, on the brighter side, I agree with others here who like seeing the photos of Craig together with Jeffrey Wright, even though it seems Wright has gained a few pounds. I think there's hope, and it's really early days...I'm open to being surprised. I didn't see that anyone had posted earlier about the Craig quote, so I thought I would, even though many of you probably saw it elsewhere anyway.

Craig said there should be great roles written for other genders, not specifically Bond. He said so after being highly diplomatic about it having to be just "the right person". He answered it the best he could. And it was apt, given he deslikes interviews. The thing you just said, and I quote you and Broccoli on this: "Let's just create more female characters and make the story fit those female characters", is the exact same thing Craig said in a interview in Jamaica. Don't know what you're rambling about.

Plus, Malek will be brilliant in his role. As he has been in everything he's done so far. Why believe otherwise?

What if Wright gained a few pounds. It's not as though Felix is your general action hero.

This negativism is just rotten, given that we're bloody lucky this is turning up the way it is. Brilliant first photos, a press conference, everyone's happy.

Just learn to be happy and to hope for the best, damn it.

Univex out. I'll be in the filming thread, which is filled with positivism, for good reason.

Whatever your thoughts on Daniel Craig returning for a sixth - B Brococli wants him back - I reckon the Daily Mail is going full out to criticise Bond 25.
A chef, physio and trainer... Daniel Craig is 'DEMANDING a vast team of aides' for Bond filming in Jamaica... as Barbara Broccoli admits she wants him back again despite his reluctance

Sure, promoting it on their website is free publicity for Eon but it seems clear they've changed their tune about Craig, they don't like him any more and I can't see that changing. I just wonder if post SPRECTRE Craig ran into some Daily Mail journalists at some media event and he slagged them off and they're wanting revenge! I know that sounds a bit trivial but I've noticed a definite anti-Craig, anti-Bond 25 vibe from the British press. It's gonna be an interesting year. Let's hope Craig doesn't say anything too critical about the film or whatever (not saying he will but we're all human and we can say dumb things from time to time!) because the press will have a field day with it!

Which is interesting because the British press gave ridiculous praise to Spectre and the American press response was neutral to quite negative.

But on the positive side - it's good to see filming has begun. :) And one other point, it may not be too wise to keep looking at sites like the Daily Mail. If they're obsessed with Bond 25 and Craig - they're gonna feature loads of filming photos and it may reveal a lot of stuff - potential spoiler stuff, locations, action scenes. It's going to be hard to ignore some of it! I remember seeing some of the crane stuff in Casino featured in the papers and online - it didn't spoil it as such but you kind of know what will be the film months before the teaser.

Back in 1987 when Dalton had just started filming TLD the press began to write about how difficult he was and how he was already going to get the heave ho.
I remember being very worried. There was nowhere to voice concern so I quietly lay awake at night worrying sick that the new guy was finished before he began.

Well, of course, that's the way the press do things. We got the same with Craig when he filmed CR. And even now, the press peddle their crap about an unpopular Daniel Craig, and we continue to believe it all.

Rest assured when the new guy takes over, it will all happen again.

Daily Mail is fake, horrible and anti-Craig.

What's the purpose of putting lying bs on this site?

    Pardon my French.

No, he does not respect the role.

    Seriously, come on people.

I’m curious where they go after Jamaica. My guess is london to reunite with the mi6 team. Yes Craig does look good but he has aged a good bit since spectre.

My guess is London and then to Matera for the remainder of the film.

Have a guy at my workplace today taking pictures on behalf of Bond 25 for a possible location. So they're still looking for locations while the film is being shot. Rather excited at the prospect!!!

Wonder Woman 2 did 9 weeks of shooting here last summer....

Wish i could tell you where i work!

    Are you British?
    Who is your floor?

Left field punt Re' the title. (Just catching up on the previous page, gave me an idea)
What if they do have a title and are keeping it quiet on purpose. What if the title is 'All The Time in the World' and it's a secret because fans would immediately know what was likely to happen to Swann.
It might also explain why that line was removed from the end of Spectre.
(The chances of this being true are slim but one can hope in excitement)

But the title will have to be revealed at some point, i.e. fans will still go in knowing that whether the title's revealed now or on 2nd April 2020 - if that's the case.

I bet the title will be revealed around late May/early June on social network.
A tweet the day earlier revealing "Bond 25 title will be announced on X day at X:XXam/pm", then a pic of the logo or an animation revealing it.

If they go for Fleming my bet would be Risico (one word title, easier to spread) or The Property of a Lady, given the (I think) influence of women in the film.

In this interview, Lashana Lynch is overheard saying that Bond 25 is not Craig's last:

For a guy who couldn't get away fast enough during the SP press tour, Craig seemed reticent to firmly declare himself 'out' during the press event.

Rubbish, where does it say it's not Craig's last, article only says how hard it is to work with him.

Did you guys see any pigeons in any of those Jamaica filming stills? A source close to the production says we will be seeing double taking pigeons in the final product. If true this is more fantastic news than I could have ever hoped for!!!

That's what happens when you don't read critically beyond the headline, Thrasos. You end up looking a tad foolish.
