No i would say he is done with! White was the biggest loose end!

I'm also against Yusef in SPECTRE but what about Guy Haines? He was a high ranking member of Quantum organization with connections to British Prime Minister. He's still at large. Ang he's danger with his political power. It's a loose end for me.

I hope that SPECTRE will give me some answers.

I,d love to see Guy Haines again if only because Paul Ritter is a great actor. But something may have happened to him inbetween QOS ans SP. Simple as that. The antagonism was mainly between Bond and White really, after the death of Le Chiffre.

I think it was pretty clear that they were setting up Guy Haines as the big villain in Bond 23 or beyond. Possibly a modern day Blofeld. But things change all the time. Now that EON has the rights to Spectre back I guess Haines has become redundant with the looming presence of Blofeld. Still It'd be nice to see him pop up for a quick scene to give Quantum more closure.

I don't think Haines was set up as a future main villain. He was one of many leaders of Quantum. In the board of directors, so to speak. QOS did not exploit this aspect fully or properly though. OS

The original ending of QOS suggested otherwise. It featured Bond confronting Haines and Mr. White at Haines' mansion. It;s never been released on DVD. The closest we got to seeing it was the end of the QOS video game.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Haines was meant to be the head of Quantum. Didn't the laternate ending have White kill him? In any case, even a last confrontation with an important member of Quantum does not mean said important member is the main baddie.

I always thought the original ending had White shooting Bond and leaving us with a cliffhanger. IDK I remember reading that Haines was meant to be the leader of Quantum. But maybe you're right.

Here's how it goes: Bond confronts a meeting between Guy Haines and Mr. White. Bond introduces himself to Haines and shoots White. That's why the gunbarrel sequence was placed at the end of the movie.

  • Perhaps Guy Haines will be subtly mentioned during a courtroom hearing or meeting between M and his superiors when they argue against keeping the 00 section alive.

I remember hearing that too but someone corrected me and said that wasn't the case. But given you're username I believe you haha. Hopefully we'll get to see that scene one day.
  • Now that the script has been leaked, this is a GREAT TIME for Simon Kassianides to come back and offer to play Yusef. He can help fix things and keep audiences surprised just as the director and producers wanted for SP.

This is QOS all over again without the writer's strike. Without improvising or doing something such as bringing back Yusef, it's going to be difficult.

Email Yusef, folks. I'll give you his email address.

Do it now, please....this man and fans have some unfinished business.

I actually think that it would do damage to QoS to have Yusef return - he's already served his purpose surely and Bond has let this go by this stage and at the end of QoS even. To bring Yusef back in SPECTRE would undermine all of this to no avail.

I'm not going to discredit this opinion.

Yes, I think that this subplot story was well enough tied up in QoS and to then have Bond kill him in SP would only serve to undermine the uniqueness of the QoS ending unnecessarily.

Yes, I only wanted Yusef back to seek out Quantum, and since we had White do that in a far more interesting way, I'm happy it didn't happen now. I'm not willing to sacrifice the genius of Bond and White's reunion in SP for Yusef, which wouldn't have as much impact as what we got.

It would have been very easy for a number of minor characters such as Yusef to have been present at the board meeting in SP. Such a wasted opportunity that they didn't do this!

Huh? @Tokoloshe, Yusef is in custody now, all thanks to Bond. No Rome meeting for him; SPECTRE would've killed him for being found out anyway.

I know that but that would simply have added to the mystery if he'd been at the meeting.

To hell with Yusef. Bring back Corrine. Stana Katic is definitely Bond material.

The only mystery would have been, "How did MI6 stupidly allow him to escape?"

Yes, SPECTRE have people everywhere, but not the same people everywhere. Yusef was captured, vetted and is likely now languishing in a pit forever. A fine resolution for what he did to Vesper, if a bit too kind.

Definitely. And still with no pants on. Or Hinx could've pantsed him when he volunteered to kill Mr. White to embarrass him.

Then Bond trips him down the stairs while he's trying to escape the meeting. Oh, Elvis!

-Yes, she could work too! Anyone along with Craig from inside of Yusef's apartment in Kazaan, Russia.....Russia was part of the script we know of in this current production....

But we have Yusef's email info at the top post here, so you can use that.

Anyone game for Yusef in Bond 25?

I would not mind to be honest, but obviously it is highly unlikely. Their is more chance of Blofeld returning than Yousef?!!!

Off the top of my head I can’t remember who in the world Yusef is, so I really doubt that audiences will remember.

Bond's mission brief would tell us. With a hard copy photo.

Unless he swiped the only copy in Quantum of Solace.

    Oh that guy.
  • @RogueAgent and everyone else,

Yusef doesn't even have to be named, he can just be used to advance the plot and help provide Bond with information or be a Link-to-a-Leak. Would you rather have that
    or:

Vesper's interrogation video tape be shown

    or

    Vesper's grave site

If you had to choose between the three?
