@00Agent, any idea who did the cover artwork for Kill Chain #2? Black Box #1 seems to be done by Dom Reardon. It's his style there. Unless I'm wrong.

Greg Smallwood is the name that i found.
That ballerina music box is nothing short of haunting, despite our awareness of the comic being light in tone. I love that cover art very much.

That is true, but the next couple issues will lead Bond to the suicide forrest and then to the remains of the Fukushima reactor... If that doesn't Sound like a perfect opportunity for a tonal shift to something darker and moodier i don't know what does. No Name is also only getting startet. i think Bond is gonna have a bad time

oh and i just found this alternative cover for Black Box #6 that i haven't seen before

Bond looks like an unmasked Danger: Diabolik there.

And Greg Smallwood has become my favourite Bond artist. He should be doing Casino Royale if it's not Fey Dalton we're getting.

    yes you were :)
also, there is a bonus panel of Bond in the Service issue at the end,
which looks 1:1 like a still from Henry Cavill in Men from U.N.C.L.E.
    looks really cool.
I try to upload it as soon as i'm home

Just finished reading BLACK BOX #4.

Narrative-wise, not bad. Not bad at all. For a reason, I could very easily see this comic being turned to an animated miniseries in the vein of Batman: The Animated Series. The last image particularly was built on those tricks.

@00Agent, my good man, I'm passing you the commenting turn. :D

    Thank you @ClarkDevlin

I am sitting in a nice little bar in the middle of Warsaw and I have just finished reading it. Thankfully they have WiFi in this place...

What can i say, well first of all, DAMN that ending :D
And now it's just waiting again...

Black Box has been improving a lot issue by issue, its pretty close behind Hammerhead for me personally by now...
As far as i'm concerned this issue alone gave me almost all i need from my Bond, the cool suave womanizer, Humor, awesome high speed action in exotic places...
And now it's off to the big finale...
    This will be good.

All well said, sir! All well said! :D

    That one line Bond spoke...

    "Won't you join me?"

"I'm a spy, after all. I prefer to watch."

    Hahaha! That's my James! :))

    Lol, mine too!

After all he has been through before that, he could have literally said "I must be dreaming" as well and I would have lost it :))

I could totally hear that dream line spoken either with an inner monologue or said directly to the girl. :))

    I would say Enjoy @BondJasonBond006
but i am sure you will!

By the way, i just got my Hammerhead Hardcover yesterday too finally, and I would like to take a moment to praise Dynamite or whoever produces them for taking the effort to add little pre title sequences, which are not in the Single issues. Vargr got one and Hammerhead got one too. i can't help but hum any of my favorite Bond theme Songs, or the Bond theme while reading those pages

The Dynamite comic universe has already become more important to me than the actual current cinematic era, despite the fact that SPECTRE is one of my favourite films in the series.

The books are fantastic and I have purchased the digital versions of Felix Leiter No 1 and Black Box No 1 just to get a taste for it.
On my iPad pro it's actually quite enjoyable to read the comics and I'm thinking of actually purchasing ALL of them, so I'll have them digitally too. Like the films who I own in iTunes as well. And of course digitally I buy the English versions.
The books I have of VARGR, EIDOLON and HAMMERHEAD are the German-language versions.

Felix Leiter, special edition hard cover book is already pre-ordered too.
SPLITTER is publishing these books on the German-language market and they are doing a fantastic job.

I managed to turn at least four guys at the army base where I'm stationed into Dynamite James Bond fans! When I let them read EIDOLON and threatened them with a slow and painful death if they damage the book hahaha...

Really enjoyed that issue. This storyline is really growing on me. I wasn't too enamoured with it at first but the fact that I'm warming to it hopefully means that I'll have nothing but praise for the entire thing when I re-read it on TPB.

Page 8, Q says "Good things these..." should have dropped the 's' on thing.
Page 16 the Bond girl (dont remember name) she says "I can Truss you..." where should have said trust.
Page 18 M says "effected" where he should have said affected.

Agreed about the first and the last.

But, 'truss' is an actual word. It means to tie something or someone up (remember she tied Bond up in that bondage hotel in issue #3). She knows she trusts Bond, she just doesn't want him there. That wasn't the topic of the scene, though.

Don't forget about 'Service' Jason. Its a one shot story (48 pages) and should be released already in german.

And I agree with you on the comics being better than the Craig era (or i would say just as good). They are definitly on their way to become one of my favorite things in the whole Bond World, next to the Brosnan era (games & movies!) and Flemings novels...
Its just an seemingly endless supply of great content so far, that will go on for a couple more years...

In the first example, was Q showing Bond a number of gadgets or objects and saying, "Good things, these," making a statement about how all of the objects, not just one, were great? It's a very common Britishism.

In the last example, is M was referring to something that'd been imposed or placed into action by something else, like him saying, "MI5 has put that protocol into effect."

I haven't read the comic, that's the only reason I ask.

I can understand, maybe the writer knows what he is doing, or I may be over thinking it.
About M though, he said "We don't know how many countries have been effected." Refering to the breach. Affected would be more appropriate.

Edit: I was mistaken about the "truss" word being used.

In that case you were correct, @Gettler. I'd have to have the book in hand to check any other possible screw-ups.
