Too much to hope for. I still think HammerHead will come out after Eidolon.

Me too, but then it would probably be released simultaneously with Casino Royale...
either way we will be in heaven :D

I think Casino Royale is a total separate graphic novel unrelated to the ongoing series, whereas I think HammerHead follows the lead taken up in Eidolon. Kind of the DC television superheroes and the current DCEU film universe. ;)

I just wanted to point out that we will be drowning in Bond Comics by the End of the year :) the ending of Eidolon, the start of Hammerhead and to top it all off a graphic novel of Casino Royale... and maybe all in the same month for all we know so far

I do hope that Hammerhead keeps at least the general set up of Ellises story, but since they switch writers, it will have it's own tone as well

I think the beginning pages of HammerHead have the Bond fan hooked with a bang right from the first moment Bond removes his mask as he parachutes down on an enemy on a rooftop. Man, it reminds me of The Quasimodo Gambit. And yes! We're going to drown with Bondmania that month! :D

I smoke once or twice a day. And all that to get the Bond vibes. I'm constantly writing fiction. :D

I'm kind of skeptical about the art, though. It feels too casual and pedestrian. Regarding Casino Royale, that is.

Incredible fun ...Ellis rocks. Why can't the films be this much fun? :(

Again do you how visual that would be to see them kissing on screen with the curtain flapping?

I've read something like that in one of the The World Is Not Enough drafts. It was the scene where Bond meets Elektra in her house after the Ski chase. Surprisingly, P&W described the scene beautifully in that one.

I hadn't read any of these, until today when I called into my local comic book shop to pick up what I had on order. I blew through VARGR in one sitting. At a number of points, I couldn't help but smile to myself how how they'd blended the literary Bond and the cinematic Bond, and at the same film firmly placed him in the modern world.

I can wait to see what else Dynamite have in store for Bond.

by the way, maybe you have already seen the new interview with Warren Ellis on the MI6 homepage. In case not, he is done after Eidolon, and his continuity will be kept in parts:

"With “Vargr” now being collected in a gorgeous hardcover and Warren Ellis and Jason Masters launching their second Bond story arc, we’d hoped this creative team might be sticking around for a while. Unfortunately, Ellis told us he’s ready to hang it up after “Eidolon” wraps.

“I think two Bond books is probably enough for any continuation author,” Ellis said. “Time to let someone else have a go. I’ve already sent on my development notes, so the next author knows where Bond’s shirts and cigarettes come from in 2016. That was a week out of my life—trying to reconstitute the book Bond’s tastes and habits in 2016! I’m not saying I’ll never write another Bond book, but I’m done for now.”

Aww well Ellis still contributed quite a great deal to Bond and has left a nice start to continue to build.

Haven't picked the issue yet, but I'll get it in the evening. Glad to see there's some positive outcome out of your review, @00Agent, since we both love the same kind of Bond. I am sure I'll enjoy it. :D

oh i'm sure you will @ClarkDevlin, it is more intense than the first issue and my anticipation for #3 is through the roof. So far Eidolon is definitly more exciting than Vargr, and i loved that one as well

I have to say, though, Jason Masters' artworks improved over the course of eight issues. The evening shot of Bond and Cadence as the sun is setting on the shores of the Los Angeles skyline is just amazing to look at.

Do you guys think they will keep the Release date for part 3 the 27th of August, as it's currently listed on Comixology? That is only three weeks from now.

yes thats true, but i was also thinking maybe they don't want to interfere with the schedule for all their other Bond releases this year.. so even if part 2 was delayed that doesn't mean the following issues will
