    Though not sure it has been done before and seeing as though there is a fair amount of love-in for each movie (though I'm not a great fan of either), a battle of the Campbell's (GE v CR) would be epic and very very close?

    We actually had that as its own thread a while back, and it got very repetitve and sparked much aggressive arguments between the Brosnan fans and the Craig fans. It was U-G-L-Y!! Probably want to stay away from that one!

    And also, as it pains me very much to say this, Goldfinger has won over GoldenEye with 21-17 votes. Ugh....I am truly ashamed!

    This is a tough one, whilst LTK is a somewhat controversial film amongst fans, it's one that I really do enjoy. Dalton just excels as a revenge fueled Bond.
    But it is up against Spy. A movie that has all the elements that I thought Bond should have. At least as a young man.
    Epic and full adventure based, or gritty, violent and thrilling?

    Yep the thread was started by yours truly.

    LTK gets my vote. I suspect this match to be very close as it really divides fans into camps.

    License to Kill for me. I prefer Dalton to Moore and Sanchez to Stromberg/Jaws. It also helps that LTK was the first Bond film I ever saw! Both films are solid Bond films, though.

    They're very different types of films but my vote goes to Spy.

    Its just got a sense of style and elegance LTK could only dream of. Carley Simon, the pyramids and THAT jump.

    TSWLM. It's the less original of these two with its recycling of YOLT's plot combined with the TB underwater elements and a female Russian spy(FRWL). However, it simply entertains me more than LTK and that's reason enough in my book.

    It's easy: The Spy Who Loved Me. LTK is so overrated and doesn't feel like Bond at all. It's too american, you know with the cop out of the case because it's too personal but he stills continues with it... Plus The Spy Who Loved Me is my second favourite...

    More meat on the bone with LTK. Sanchez has an almost Shakespearean fall from grace.

    Spy is still gilt edged Bond though.

    I'll take Spy. You can't top the big tanker set-piece. Spy is a glorious, colourful escapist Bond-film, even if the lead Bond-girl was played by a space alien.
    If only all Bond films could be like Spy.

    Marvelous as it is, I only want or need one TSWLM. And what is wrong with the lovely Barbara? One of my favourite Bond girls!

    This shouldn't be that close, but I fear that it will be. Licence To Kill was the biggest Bond disappointment I've experienced in the cinema. Off the back of the superb The Living Daylights, I just found LTK to be utterly underwhelming and remember leaving the showing, deflated. Just my opinion, of course, but Spy is in a different league entirely.

    Dalton's superb in it. The story's great. Nice action and there's something about Glen's directing that I thoroughly enjoy.

    Two rather different films; I like both Bonds but TSWLM is one of my alltime favorites -, Roger at his prime, and Bach was well cast. Easy vote for me.

    TSWLM is the best Moore film, but at the end of the day, it's still a Moore Bond. So for that reason, and the tanker chase alone in LTK being better than the whole of TSWLM...

    I'm with the LTK crowd too. A seriously serious film seriously done right, seriously. And the tanker chase is some of the best action I've seen. Great climax indeed.
