When 'M' says, 'You have no authority. None'. Do you think he's directing this at Denbigh, 'C'.

I think "M" said: "You had no athority", referring to Bond's mission in Mexico City. Perhaps he didn't have the authority to "clean up" Mexico-City. But it also seems that Bond only wanted to gun down a man, and then this whole building exploded.

It really sounds like "M" is lecturing Bond from behind his desk. Like in the good old Connery days ;-).

And then 007's quick oneliner: "I was taking some overdue holiday". Which IMO works very well :-P.

I initially thought that, but I think I watched it too many times! Just watched it again and he does say 'had', so yeah, looks like it's Bond getting a bollocking.

Ha ha. Excellent touch by the producers though!

Anybody spot the excellent easter egg in the trailer? Bond is standing in the ruined MI6 building looking at the Memorial Wall for fallen MI6 agents. I googled the names and they seem to be staff who have worked on the Bond films over the years. Excellent tribute to them!

Nonsense. Suppose this thing does 1,2 billion dollars. They'll contact Craig at least once more.
Ok. What if Spectre makes more than 1 billion, Craig returns for Bond 25, and that film makes more than 1 billion again? For Craig and the producers Bond isn't just about the money.

I think Hinx is really menacing, as opposed to, let's say, Stamper from "TND". I don't know what it is.....but I think the slow build-up towards the man we all love with all its gadgets and henchmen, over a course of four Bond films, truly pays off here. It's like....it all feels way more real. And such a different experience as opposed to the Brosnan films.

Why do you always, always, always have to bring up Brosnan? Can't you just enjoy the trailer? It's always a competition with you. Just enjoy it for what it is!

I don't like your remark @RC7. If only you could be a bit more empathic. I'm playing the trailer over-and-over-again. My neighbours don't like me at the moment. I am "just enjoying" it.

There's absolutely no competition in my remark. And if you feel like it, then I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention. It is MY opinion, and I feel thrilled by the results so far! It's all I ever wanted. Pity....you can so easily bring down my mood :-(.

I don't like your remark. Stop bringing up Brosnan, it's tedious. Just enjoy the trailer.

No reason why he shouldn't bring up Brosnan, on a Bond forum, whether it's a regular occurrence or not.

@Pierce2Daniel I agree - like Warner Bros with Batman v Superman, it seems after the more inventive and creative teaser which was met with a more mixed reception (mind you, that BvS teaser had very much 50/50 split in terms of reception, Bond was had great reception apart from people confused over no action scenes), they've decided to cut a more typical crowdpleaser of a trailer, and this one was quite IMO messy editing-wise and not as clear/cohesive in terms of narrative. The big plus of the trailer of course is the music, and that unlike the SF trailers (which were very nicely edited btw, in spite of the thing I'm about to mention), don't give a play-by-play of the film.

But on the other hand, the movie itself looks absolutely fantastic and I can't wait.

I wanted to see more of the Rome chase! Craig will make at least 2x more Bonds based on popularity and ticket revenue.

Obviously. I just don't like it when people use any opportunity to have a subtle dig at Brozzer, it was exaggerated by the fact we're all basking in the release of this trailer. I didn't think it was necessary. My problem.

Imagine Moneypenney's line "I think you are just getting started" was a nod to Craig's tenure continuing but now down a more traditional Bond route.

Was it only me who loved Mr White quote: "He's everywhere" ?

I loved it too. Lovely twist of fate: in QOS he said it with confidence, gloating at MI6, now he's afraid. Mr White afraid. That's so chilling.

just watched it once after coming back from work.

First impression: Overall it looks promising...but Craig's line deliveries do sound quite wooden here.

Hands down the best Bond trailer I'd ever seen. Even beats Casino Royales which I thought was amazing. I don't think I've ever been this excited for a Bond film.

SP looks fantastic - and Craig just oozes confidence and danger.
Looks like yet another brilliant performance from him. And looks like
some strong chemistry and dramatic sparks between Craig and Waltz.

What to say that hasn't already been said? Nothing but here are my thoughts anyway:

The action sequences are nicely varied. Lots of variety this time in both location and vehicle type, some set in the day, others night. I'm not sold on the gadget car, mind. It's very much a full on Bond film, M, Q, Moneypenny, hell even a henchman! All the characters in place playing their part. Craig has some varied clothes this time. Very nice to see the shoulder holster and white dinner jacket back particularly. I didn't notice the Majesty's theme at first, for what it's worth. The Blofeld twist better be handled with care. However it is done, I'm more than OK with not having the character in the next film. More onto something new and come back to it later by all means.

Final thought: I very much like that hard to pause shot of what is Bond fighting Mr. Hinx on the train.

I love the idea of having more gadgets back. And a gadget car? Wet dreams...

Disclaimer: I haven't read the spoilers, but last I heard it's open for him, assuming he's Blofeld, to be in the next film. Anyway any further discussion belongs in the spoiler thread

Funny, I was never blown away by any of the Skyfall trailers.
