    Hmmm.....action, action...and action. "Furious 7"-esque action ;-). Should be a lot of popcorn-fun.
I don´t see any connection with F&F, only with former M:I films, but I must say I´m impressed by that Steve Jobs trailer that follows.

Has anyone else noticed that they are billing this as an action film, and yet all the action in any of the trailers/TV spots comes from about two scenes? There's the big car/motorcycle chase and then a couple fistfight/scuffles (at the opera and when Ethan is tied to the chair). This does not look like an action-heavy movie AT ALL, and yet that's how they're marketing it. I have a feeling this is going to be more of a spy/espionage movie but the studio is afraid that won't get butts in the seats, so they make it look like an action film.

I could be wrong, of course!

I think you may be right. I read a quote somewhere by someone who read the script and they said it is action light. Maybe that is why they had to close down production for two weeks to rewrite the ending which is a major move (which the director tried to deny, but lots of news items noted). I still think there is a lot of similarity in this film to SP which is why the studio and Cruise jumped it up 5 months to open before SP. They knew for years they'd be opening near SWs so I don't think that was the reason.

@Gustav_Graves, right? I like how he says how he didn't sleep the night before and how terrified he was to do it...so he did it eight times. Insane.

I've never been interested in Cruise's personal life because it's none of my business but as an actor he consistently commands my respect.

Same here. In a way I think this is how Sean Connery would have liked to do James Bond: producer, stuntman, screenplay consultant, actor.

I second that question, because whether it's official or fan-made, it's very impressive!

Nice. Very creative, but sadly there can only be one option to top this for MI6: Moonraker anyone?

Or Cruise can do his own version of the Felix Baumgartner jump. ;)

I really do wonder what the whole "hanging off the plane" stunt will consist of. With the Burj Khalifa, it was an extended sequence that included climbing, hanging, running, etc. But with a plane, I fear that, if it really is just him hanging off and then climbing inside, that we've basically seen the WHOLE stunt.

    Good point.

IMO, MI:3 is a Tom Cruise stunt feast. Here's a nice making-of, focusing a lot on his stunts in the movie:

The first reviews from an early screening have been posted on Twitter, and they are all extremely positive. If these are genuine, this is a great sign!

Yeah, I read these just before...

Woke up this morning still thinking about Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation. That hasn't happened with a movie in a while

So slick. So McQuarrie. Reacher's brutality, EoT's humor, twisty like Suspects & still M:I to the core. Yeah, that was a blast

This has me even more excited to see it, and I didn't think that was possible. Can't believe it's only two weeks until the release now. I'm hoping to be there opening night, haven't been interested enough in this summer's films to warrant a trip to the theater, so this'll be my first time since 'Mad Max: Fury Road.'

Amen to that, sir! If the reviews continue to be this positive, my head might actually explode (especially between this coming out and the SPECTRE trailer being released in the next few days...I CANNOT HANDLE ALL THIS!)

Hmmm, would love to see"Rogue Nation" be slightly grittier and darker as compared to "Ghost Protocol", while at the same time maintaining the impressive amount of real-life stunts.

It most likely will be. The tone of each film changes from film to film.

@PDJamesBond, I'm right there with you! The latter half of July being filled with the full SP trailer and the release of 'Rogue Nation' makes me a very happy man.

Another change from each film: Tom Cruise's hair. It was short(er) in the first and third films (and now Rogue Nation), and was longer in the second and fourth movies.

Hear hear, the first track from Joe Kraemer's score for "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation". The track "Moroccan Pursuit" is part of the opening/pre-credits sequence of the film (Yeah, "Mission: Impossible" officially has PTS sequences too now ;-)):

Due to the incredibly busy post-production work for the film (As you know the film's premiere was brought forward to July), the soundtrack isn't available for buying yet. But here you can find the pre-order link:
    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YJDGTLS/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00YJDGTLS&linkCode=as2&tag=filmusrep-20&linkId=XOAJ56NVCHFP57GD

Quick review about the first track:
It reminds me a bit of David Arnold's "African Rundown" from "Casino Royale". It has plentiful of Moroccon-esque percussion, though it lacks a clear distinctive melody, but it does have a lot of pace/rhytmn changes. It's purely an action track, and for that it should be very effective when you see the film on the big screen.
