Literary bond loved his Bentley, movie bond loves his Aston. It's ok with me

Loving the Aston is one thing. I have absolutely no problem with the Aston Martin DB10. In fact, I already love it!

I have absolutely no problem with the DB5 making a cameo, much like the one in TND. However I did see an AM DB6 parked at Blenheim palace. So maybe the DB6 is Bond's private car for some time? I'm sure it'll all add up.

The DB5 is just a cheap gimmick at this point. Bringing it back was a terrible idea, although a short cameo won't completely ruin the movie.

Trust me, understanding the very particular situation that allows it to be brought back in this film is extremely unlikely without having read the script. It isn't just brought back arbitrarily or anything like that.

I have read the screenplay. The way it is brought back is very uninspired, and the car's appearance is nothing more than a cheap gimmick. Having said that, I do not think it will really have a big negative impact on the overall quality of the movie, so I'm not worried.

Christ sakes. You've really got your knives out for a film you are yet to see a frame of.

We get it you've read the script. That does not make you the bastion of truth on these forums. The proof is in the pudding and regardless how much of the leaked materials anyone has read the truth is we are all still in the dark as to whether SP will be any good or not. The quality of the script is not indicative as to whether a film itself is any good, by all means it's a fair indicator but film is a visual medium and crap films have been made from supposed great scripts and vice versa.

Stop condemning things till you've seen it. Yes it may not like it on the page but you never know how you will feel till you have seen it executed. I'm fully expecting you to write some pathetic excuse defending your opinion but the truth is you know I'm right. So relax, stop reviewing analysing a movie you haven't seen.

I think I speak for a lot of people on these forums: You are getting on our nerves.

In other news; let's marvel over Sigman a bit more:

Very beautiful, perhaps Bond's contact in Mexico?

@Pierce2Daniel Jesus Christ, calm down man!
but the truth is you know I'm right.
Are you a politician? And guess what... no, I don't know that you are right.

Yeah, this is a really sensible response to this: "Having said that, I do not think it will really have a big negative impact on the overall quality of the movie, so I'm not worried."

We aren't talking about the whole film. We are talking about the car. One. Car. By the way, nobody needs to read the script to see how bringing the Aston Martin DB5 back undermines the relevance of its destruction in Skyfall.

I really do not understand why on earth do you have to become so agitated when reading some criticism. The movie won't be terrible, I love Sam Mendes, I'm sure he would direct a decent movie even if the screenplay was horrible. So don't tell me that I have my knives out for this film!

Actually, it doesn't undermine a thing, IMO. So you don't speak on my behalf. And yes, I have read the script, too.

Reguarding the DB5, Bond has two of them. One of them issued by MI6 and one that he won in the poker game.
The one he won in the poker game is most likely his personal car that you see on set... In the film it's made obvious that they are two different cars. The one blown up had an American steering system while the one he won in CR is a British steering system....

It wouldn't make sense for him to just get another 1965 DB5 out of nowhere that's. Not something you can just buy lol.

Also I would rather not have Penolope Cruz, I prefer seeing fresh unknown faces. Especially in Bond films..
I really dislike seeing all these popular stars playing tons of different roles it's just weird to me.

I love the DB5 and would love it to cameo in any future Bond film. I just see it as Bonds personal car.

You beat me to the punch; this is what I was about to post. both may be his private vehicle. Bond has a thing for the DB5.

Everything I write is my own opinion. Do I have to put "in my opinion" at the end of every sentence I write? The reason I strongly believe the return of Aston Martin DB5 undermines the significance of its destruction in Skfyall is this: the movie Skyfall was about the old and the new. M died, we saw the complete transformation of MI6, Bond's childhood home was blown up and Bond's personal car got destroyed too. All this signified that this is the end of an era within the story. The return of the DB5 partially invalidates this (and completely invalidates that scene where we saw how angry Bond became seeing his car getting destroyed). If the car can make a return, does that mean all that change wasn't completely for real? The return of the DB5 is not a big deal, it's just a small annoyance for me, something that never really warranted all these posts. I made a small criticism and then others completely blew it out of proportion.

    DB5: “Everybody needs a hobby.”
    Blofeld: “So what's yours?”
    DB5: “Resurrection."

DB 5 after Skyfall. Why not? It's fiction. The filmmakers can do whatever they want to do IMO. They always did. They even had false vulcanos!

Just got back from Mexico City and they were setting up huge lighting scaffolding and building something hidden behind two screens at the National Museum of Anthropology. A guard said it was for the James Bond film.

you say the nicest things!! lol

I agonised over portraying the blue LED headlights on the road ahead as the golden tones of the cars matched the background so nicely without this. See what you think:

I couldn't have made the composition above had it not been for the really great images being shared here! Just keep them coming and I'll be a really happy bunny!!
