  Not only that. As of Sunday it will start snowing heavily in Obertilliach. With continuous snowfall expected next week until Wednesday. No reason to panick :-).

  I advice them to wait filming until Sunday. The 5-day forecast for East-Tirol and the Carnian Alps (where Lienz and surroundings, like Obertilliach, are located) are starting to get better as of Saturday, and then again as of Monday/Tuesday. That means: colder temperatures and more snow:

  Remember that the snow conditions on 1400 m altitude, the altitude of the village is really bad: 0 cm. And slightly higher, where they will be filming, you can simply see everywhere that there's not more than 2 to 4 cm snow. Almost nothing.
  
  So that's really not good to start filming. I think we all prefer real snowy landscapes, instead of artificial surroundings helped by fake snow and CGI. I just don't want to see fields without snow, like we could see in "For Your Eyes Only".

  Like I said. Bringing in snow is only for the direct surroundings, not the hills in the background.

  They will be able to film the background once they get snow, I suppose.

  There will be a plane crash scene and also several explosion scenes in Obertilliach. A pyrotechnician has been on-site since December and has repeatedly done test blasts.
