    Exceeding underrated but was the first of the eighties Bond girls to have abit of chutzpah in her.

    I'm sure it was mentioned in the past 34 pages of posts, but while Kissy is considered the "Bond Girl" I find Aki to be the best in the movie. She is the first attempt at an "equal" to Bond that we see and her character is so sweet and lovable. Shame the end that she met. She would be in my top 5 if included in this list.

    Her acting career in French cinema suggests otherwise... Personally I think she gives one of the best performances of all the Bond grls.

Her character goes on an emotional journey throughout the film; we first see her radiant and happy with her parents (in fact, we first see her with a smile on her face, which I think warrants a facial expression), then as soon as her parents are shot, I see in those wild eyes a transformation in character: one of vengefulness and hurt. In the Spain scenes, I love her scenes with Moore's Bond. I love that little laugh she makes when Moore quips "Love a ride in the country, don't you?". Bouquet plays her so naturally; she is very believable and doesn't overreact in this situation, something that other Bond girls would be liable to do. And I love that little flash of panic we see when the Citroen comes to a stop, "Go backwards. Forwards, quickly!".

    Bouquet manages to fully flesh out this character, and is the most developed Bond girl from the Moore era. She has great screen presence, and she does her fair share of killer archery and knock outs throughout the film.

    As I said before, it's very nice to see that she has made it this far.

    I enjoy Bouquet's performance, though she admits that the film was a boring experience for her, but I don't particularly like the character or the way she is presented in the movie. It seemed her drive to avenge her parents' murder was on and off throughout the film. The only time I was really on her side was in her first appearance on her family's boat and towards the end when Columbo says "But we are only five men..." and she adds on, "And one woman." Her beautifully long hair gives her extra points in my book, but she's far from my favorite Bond girl of the Moore era.

    To be honest, it probably was. Setting up action scenes would take forever and the whole thing is a long slog

    How is the character on or off during the movie?? Cortina? Trying to get after him?Madrid? Being forced to stop? Greece? Going after him with a crossbow? The girl is relentless..

    Her qualifications

    She is also recognized for her work in Luis Buñuel's surrealist classic That Obscure Object of Desire (1977), and in the internationally successful film Too Beautiful For You (1989), for which she won the César Award for Best Actress. Also she received a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Rive droite, rive gauche (1984).
