I watched the first one. It was like a mis-mash of half baked ideas from Star Wars. The writing was rather weak and acting wasn't stellar. I am not surprised that it was cancelled as the second film I think was received poorly and was less popular from the first one.
The main problem that I have with Snyder and his DC work is that he didn't push Superman or even Batman like he could have. Namely with new characters (in particular villains). He just basically used ones already used and just "Zack Snyder-ed" them. While WB is somewhat at fault for the DCEU failing, they should have known better than to hire him for crowd-pleasers. So @peter while it would be nerve-racking to write Bond, I feel that Superman would be more to my style. As I don't think that I could sink any lower. With so much Superman material out there, I feel that I could create an original Superman screenplay that feels fresher than what we've got.
