Many passes on LW1 the most notable being by Jeffrey Boam (dialogue and action).
The long Kiss Goodnight was revised/doctored by Carrie Fischer (yes, her), and Renny Harlin.
However, you are correct about KKBB; but there were still producer notes that Shane Black basically took and worked himself as his own script doctor using these notes. This is a little unique as this wasn’t a tent pole film (which you’ll see I was talking about above), and it was a smaller budget created by the writer/director.
So as I said, tentpole films in the last 60 years, including ones written by Shane Black, have been doctored by many writers. These are how large tent pole films have been made, and it isn’t going away any time soon.
