    Yeah, I thin’ he told him he looked a bit flabby, or something along those lines. I believe it was what started Cavill on the whole body-conscious look that has come to define him.

    Agreed.
    One of the most famous roles in cinema, ready to be re-cast and the director and writer haven’t discussed the lead role…I find that hard to believe.

    Clearly they just don’t want to disclose too much. Which is perfectly normal and understandable.

    I wouldn't quite call it progress, they're still at the ideas phase. But it's the first indication that work has truly begun.

    Not sure how anyone else read it, but I saw it as a positive update. It's great to know that the director and writer are trying to come at the script from the same direction and to know they're both heavily invested in the series

    Broadly yes, I agree. It's clear that for Villeneuve and Knight this is a real passion project and not just a stepping stone. Hopefully this means we get the best out of their different talents, and it leads to the best end result we can expect.

    He’s not my top choice, but watching Slow Horses, I could see Jack Lowden as a potential Bond.

    Whether this is the type of Bond Villeneuve and Knight have in mind is still unclear.
    But they could surely do worse.

    He’s playing in a popular show that is broadcast both in the UK and US so he’s known without being an A list star. He’s got potential.

    The fact you could do worse is not compelling in making you do something. The fact you could do much better, however, is compelling to make you do better. Mr. Lowden is terrific in that TV show, but as Bond ? He's a wee man.

    Like all opinions, this is debatable…

    Actually, I think Lowden could be excellent as this generation’s Bond, and would mature into the role very nicely…

    Oh please, hair color is one of the most easily adjusted physical attributes. How do I know? I’ve been a hair stylist/ barber for going on 40 years. Lowden has appeared in countless productions where he isn’t “ ginger “ .

    For the record, I’m not in favor of a ginger Bond…

    Lowden's on my short list of realistic suggestions. Believe me when I say that orange beard will shave right off. Perhaps he'll even do a Gillette promo...
