Your favourite "bad" films?

What it says on the tin really. Which films, that are overall thought of as bad movies, do you like?

I actually enjoy a fair few. Leprechaun, Freddy vs Jason, Friday The 13th: The Final Chapter, Indiana Jones 4 (don't shoot!!!), The Medallion, and a few more.

But my favourite bad film ever is Rambo 3. I love this film. It might just be mindless action and it's not as good as the first 2 but I love it.

    Hahaha, don't get me wrong, I don't think they are, Freddy vs Jason is my 2nd favourite FT13 film, but I think most people do think they're bad, which is why I included them.

    Freddy vs. Jason is the best bad movie I've ever seen. I mean, given the material, they did an excellent job combining Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street, but you really can't call it a quality film, either. But I LOVE that movie.

    'Freddy vs. Jason' has always been highly entertaining, and that ending is so enjoyable and rich.

    One of my favorite 'bad' movies is 'Boat Trip': highly trashed by everyone, but I think it's hilarious.

    I love Roger Moore in this movie, his scenes alone make me laugh like crazy.

    'The Mummy' and 'The Mummy Returns', which I think are brilliant but I am told aren't exactly the best films ever.

    @Murdock, ahh, thank you! Finally someone else who has seen the film. His scenes really are hilarious, and I loved seeing him in the role.

    Definitely a fan of those films, particularly the first one. They really are bunch of ham and cheese, but I think the first two Mummy films mostly pulled it off.

    The third Mummy film is a bad film that is just plain bad, however.

    I agree that Mummy 1 & 2 are good. The third one was a waste of a movie ticket.

    This just seems like a strange topic. If we like them, then they aren't "bad". Some may use the term "guilty pleasure", but if you enjoy it, why act reserved about your love for it?

    First thing that came to mind was Schwarzenegger's Commando (1985), it's so bad, in that it's good, has reached cult status for many, pure, unmitigated nonsense, but for those who've seen it, it is a classic watch

    also, the Lawnmower Man takes a lot of berating from movie critics and the general public, but I've always found it a fun watch. One of Brosnan's better movies for me away from his Bond tenure

    "Waterworld" with Kevin Costner and "The New World" which was that bad i have forgotten the name of the lead actor! :))

    IMO, Freddy vs Jason should have been made in about 1996 (3 years after JGTH and two years after WCNN) with Hodder as Jason and Englund as Freddy. Seeing as I have the JGTH Jason figure and the New Nightmare Freddy, I could have a go at a stop motion FvJ. Substituting the devil for the Djinn from the Wishmaster film. B-)

    That's the point, films you don't think are bad (and that you like and enjoy), that most people do (think are bad).

    The shadow. I don't consider it a bad film yet everyone else does. I thought it was quite amazing fun and enjoyable. But i have since learned many consider it weak and quite bad

    The A-team is another i love but everyone else seems to hate

    I enjoyed Jaws 2 and 3 again I'm the only one it seems (Jaws 3 had a brilliant idea but Joe Alves was not a director and shouldn't of done the film if they remade it with a stronger script and a better director I think Jaws 3 would not only be well received but Might even give the original a run for it's money and is the only remake of a jaws film I'd accept.)


    Punnisher 1989 and 2004 were enjoyable

    Daredevil I liked

    Halloween 6 is my favorite Halloween film yes i like it better then the original the cult stuff trying to control evil I found really cool and it's Paul Rudd's best performance.



    I am sure if i looked through my collection I can find a few others


    Oh i enjoy the classic godzilla films.

    I love The Shadow. It's one of my favourite films and easily my favourite comic book/superhero film.

    Well everyone said The Saint ( 1996 ) was the production that finished Val Kilmer's career.

    But I thought it was entertaining ...

    PS Speaking of Val Kilmer, Willow was great ( forgotten ) movie production

    Well I don't think it's bad either, It's easily the best and most game faithful Resident Evil Film Adaptation. Lots of fans hate it for some reason. -shrugs.- Oh well. I'll always cherish it in my DVD collection.

    Alien 3 - Really, really enjoyed it. I don't think it deserves all of the hate it gets.

    Terminator: Salvation - I know it isn't the same, but I like this addition to the series, and I don't think of it as a bad film at all...

    Red Lights - I thought it was a different, clever, and entertaining film, but reviewers seemed to hate on it. I thought the characters were well-written, and the acting was great! And I liked the twist at the end.

    Quantum of Solace - It had the challenge of living up to Casino Royale, which is my third all-time favourite film. I knew it wouldn't be as good, and I watch it every now and then as I find it entertianing.

    One of my favorite 'bad movies' is Trancers-

    it's a ridiculous b-movie that blatantly rips off Bladerunner and The Terminator that stars Tim Thomerson and a super young Helen Hunt. Thomerson is super cheesy (on purpose) and he has a certain charm that makes this movie watchable any time!

    Plus I don't care what anyone says- I love Dolph Lundgren. Did you hear on the news a couple years ago when burglars broke into his house and then freaked and ran when they realized whose house they were in?? Now that's a killer rep that money can't buy! Even Chuck Norris can't brag about that one!

    Oh yeah, forgot to mention Cobra, which has Stallone at his 'Stalloniest'. Awesome movie- I admit I bought a pair of aviator sunglasses after watching it B-)

    Spaceballs, which could be consider a bad movie generally speaking but in its genre it's one of the greatest parodies.

    I am quite smitten with Hudson Hawk with Bruce Willis. Also his The Last Boyscout is a brilliant movie imho.

    A great fan of the '40's detective movies that generaly lasted an hour or a few minutes more. They are more quip and story driven than action driven. But mostly they are brilliant mood pieces.

    N understood all the hate for Indy 4. Not as good as the originals I agree but I love that film.
