Yeah, that's what he needs just a moderate filling out.
I’m sure if he lifted weights and ate chicken and fish or whatever he’d gain a bit more muscle. But he seems tall, fit, and has a naturally good physique anyway. Don’t know how athletic he is, but I know he was a skateboarder so I’m going to guess he’s somewhat used to exercise. I’m pretty sure he’s trained hard for a number of his roles (he’s pretty much all muscle in Postcards From London - again, he’s not Arnold Schwarzenegger, but if cast I suspect he’d be in better shape anyway than most of the other Bonds. I think he’s got a better physique already than Brosnan and Dalton when they were Bond, and we often forget Connery and Moore were sucking in their guts by film three).
Yeah a bit of filling out would probably happen: Brosnan and Craig both did it.
I'm sure the next Bond will do his homework.
I think Dickinson will work, and although nowhere near who I would personally choose, it's slim pickings these days, and I would have nothing against his casting.
Villeneuve only hires movie stars for his big parts, so I think Dickinson is a prime candidate in that he will have the marketability that Amazon are looking for. Dickinson attracts a big female demographic, and is very informative vogue in the Hollywood circles but he doesn't have a star role yet. The problem is he is scheduled to shoot 4 Beatles movies in the next couple years, so it would certainly mean a delay or holding off on production temporarily for Bond. They can't start filming until their star in available.
We’ll see. I can understand some being skeptical about him as Bond, and I’m not saying it’ll be him, but he’s a very good actor (one of the best younger British ones about), and has presence. None of us know how he’d approach it in regards to an audition anyway. If it feels right in that context, I think they’ll go for him.
Well, I'm inclined to believe that's the sort of person they're looking for simply because they keep mentioning how they want a bold creative swing and to take big risks. He seems like the kind of guy to want to take it in his own direction. If that's the kind of vision that Villeneuve, Knight and the producers are all in agreement on, then it would appear to be a perfect fit given Dickinsons already huge appeal with the female demographic.
But, again, the big hiccup I can see is what that would mean for actually getting to film the thing, and getting schedules to line up. So far Amazon have been very patient to allow enough time for the right pieces to fall into place. Question is will they be patient enough to accommodate Dickinson?
Amazon has money, it doesn't need to be patient. If they want to have Dickinson badly, they just have to write a check.
But he's already signed to play John Lennon in 4 Beatles films. Are you saying they would pay to get him out?
If it takes too long to start filming, I don't think it's necessary. Actors need to work.
Nah, they're already rehearsing those, it's happening. Personally I don't think they'd wait for him, but who knows.
