I sincerely hope so. TBH, one of my concerns is Amazon structuring the film like a DC or Marvel film rather than Bond. No gunbarrel or Binder style title sequence. Instead the title and all credits saved for the end with a post credits scene teasing the next film. No traditional title song either. Most movies today don't really do that.
I do believe without the Broccoli family at the helm, Amazon's series could do things differently. The general movie public probably wouldn't be bothered by this. They're used to modern franchise films. In addition, it's been so long since we got new Bond films regularly, most of the younger audiences wouldn't have experienced a traditional Bond in the cinema.
My feeling is if they do go for a young Navy Bond origin story, for instance I'm not counting on an Eon structured Bond film with Amazon. I think it will play more like MAN OF STEEL or BATMAN BEGINS.
I also think audiences will be perfectly fine with that. But will I?
