Take it with a grain of salt, but the latest rumor is that the regular edition of the game will cost $69.99, there will be a physical release as well, and there's also a Collector's Edition for a whopping $300. My guess is pre-orders could go live today to coincide with this State of Play.

Not sure if this has been posted here before, but regarding Greenway
He is a former 00 Agent who is tasked by M to recruit the new generation of 00's, including James Bond.

I wonder if the Greenway name was inspired by the company in the Carte Blanche novel called 'Green Way International'.

I guess that makes sense of why he's seen dangling above some crocs with Bond.
I guess the question is, which 00 number did he have?

    I wouldn't be surprised if...
Greenway and 009 (the villain revealed so far) are both former 00's and working together. Bond becomes suspicious of Greenway over the course of the story. A bit of a re-working of the original idea for Goldeneye with Trevelyan being 007's mentor.

Curious as to what will be included in this $300 special edition... I'm (unfortunately) highly likely to preorder it; maybe a statue of Bond or something?

Would be genius to sell a preemptive ticket to B26 with it, if that's even feasible. Like a coupon.

There is precedent. The Batman Begins video game tie-in included a ticket to see the film in theaters.

The price of the standard edition is already pushing it.

My guess for the contents of the Collectors Edition:

    - Report of the Iceland operation or a physical/mental evaluation of Bond, prior to earning 00 status
    - Model car of the DBS or a figure of Bond
    - Soundtrack CD
    - Steelbook
    - Artbook
    - Exclusive DLC (some skins inspired by the films)

Yeah those $70 + tax price tags have made it a lot easier for me to skip on day one purchases in the last few years. I almost never buy anything on release anymore.

State of Play is still in progress, but...
...that entire sequence they just showed, from Aston > plane > skydive felt like the most 'classic Bond' action scene I've seen since the parkour chase in Casino Royale. Hugely inventive, with tons of little 'creative' moments on Bond's part, and that music...when the Bond theme hit during the skydive, it really felt like 007 is back.

    Cautiously optimistic about this one.

March! They are taking their sweet time with it. How many years of development will that have been?

Totally agree on the skydive and the music, that just hit the spot.

Gameplay looks good but technically needs some work, the framerate was chugging a bit.

Yeah hopefully they can fix that they have time?

They’ve six months to go and the game is probably in pretty good shape, so if they hit the optimisation hard, should be doable.

Really liked the way it looked. Felt proper Bond!

The FPS drops didn't bother me too much. I'll be getting it on PC (or I should say I HOPE it isn't and is optimised). That motion blur was disgusting though. Again, not a problem for me as I'll be turning that off.

Loved the skins as well that they shown at the end with the digital pack.

I couldn't really fault that (alright I still wish his hair was the full ink black but that's such a minor nitpick), it just put I big smile on my face like a classic Bond film. The gameplay is exactly what you'd except from the Hitman developers, I say that in a good way. I can't wait to play it.

IO fooled me with the $100 early access to Hitman 2, so not again on that front, but I'll check this one out eventually. I'm surprised it's already dropping early next year, but hopefully they're confident about the state it's in.

Which rank is that naval uniform? The game rank, or Commander?

Yeah okay, looks good fun. Certainly very expansive and the environments look gorgeous. The script was a bit flat in the bits we heard, and was there another guy in that Jaguar? He seemed to have exactly the same voice as Bond so it was hard to tell who was speaking. Also some slightly annoying Americanisms ('parking lot', 'airplane'- oddly they did seem to remember which one the 1st floor is though) but never mind. And I was maybe hoping for a bit more of a movie feel for the car chase: nothing very original happened in it. Music's a bit average too.

I like the look of the gameplay though and there's something quite charming about this slightly more laddish Bond already. I liked the touch of all the ladies he passes swooning over him, that's a nice sense of fun. If it gets good reviews I'll be grabbing it.
