I’m somewhat surprised that this wasn’t posted yet. That might REALLY be a sign that more and more people are tuning out of the MCU.

Apparently, this isn’t the full cast. Some salaries are still being worked out.

I’m still interested in the Avengers teamups in the MCU. But Robert Downey Jr. could ruin his Iron Man legacy if this fails.

It all seems a bit desperate from Marvel, the ridiculously large cast does not interest me, FOX Xmen I love though are way too old now and the Z list MCU characters were poor in other movies. MCU should focus on good story telling rather than the mess they created post Endgame.

I will wait for the next two Avengers films to appear on streaming if I can be bothered. I have skipped quite a few of the films and several MCU TV shows as the writing got pretty poor so I lost interest.

I stopped watching Marvel films after Age Of Ultron. It was the last Marvel film I enjoyed...and it was because of James Spader's dark comedy performance as Ultron.

I have found Daredevil: Born Again to be better than your typical Marvel TV series. That's not super high praise, mind you, but I've actually found Fisk's story to be more compelling and interesting than the hero's journey.

I've found myself in the same boat as you @Fire_and_Ice_Returns and ironically, I can get into MCU movies for free. Earlier this year, I found myself on an action movie binge (Die Hard and John Wick). I was somewhat surprised with myself when I found that I really didn't want to see CA: BNW, yet I like Harrison Ford and Giancarlo Esposito. But I don't feel like watching for various reasons: namely boredom and having to watch a bunch of mediocre MCU slop. Plus of the MCU's false advertising more often than not. My dad simply said "That's a sign you're maturing." He's right. I'm not a fool for the MCU anymore. There are too many old faces in front and behind the camera to feel fresh. It will take a lot for me to see it, even as a fan of a lot of those actors and characters.

There seems to be controversy surrounding statements by Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman and the actors who play Sue and Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn and Vanessa Kirby) regarding the changes made to their characters for this film.

Marvel just seem to have lost the ability to write a good script. I sat through Falcon and the Winter Soldier which was nonsensical and one of the last MCU shows I bothered with. Marvel have made way too much content and diluted there brand and put people (me) off watching.

I enjoyed Deadpool and Wolverine as it was stupidly funny despite a paper thin plot, that film was a one off with two charismatic leads.

Thunderbolts* I will likely watch as it seems more appealing than Cap 4 though it's a wait till VOD for me. The Sentry is way too powerful for that team to handle so I see them talking him out of it in the end with a group intervention or something. 😂

The only film I plan to watch at the cinema is Superman, I may watch Jurrasic World 4 as hokey as the films are dinasaurs are fun to see on the big screen.

F4 I was never a big fan off to be honest though I have the other films on bluray, I did not mind the Jessica Aba films, they are a fun guilty pleasure. First Steps have totally miscast Reed Richards which took me out of the trailers, it's a wait for VOD.

I really think Thing is going to steal this show, if this trailer is any indication. Love the car spinning for the kids.

Concerned about a pregnant Sue Storm but suppose that might be interesting. All in all it looks good. Still not sure I will head out to see it on the big screen.

Saw Fantastic Four today, thought it was terrific, easily the best MCU film since Endgame (not the highest bar, granted). I thought they really nailed the chemistry between the Four. Even though Pascal doesn’t totally work for me as Reed, I now see based on how they characterized him why he was picked.

I'de have put Iron Man 3 much higher, and Dr Strange 2 much lower; probably Black Panther too as that did little for me, but otherwise that seems a pretty solid ranking?

My top 10 MCU in no particular order are...

    Infinity War
    Avengers Assemble
    Iron Man
    Captain America First Avenger
    Captain America Winter soldier
    Captain America Civil War
    Thor
    Guardians of the Galaxy
    Guardians of the Galaxy 2
    Guardians of the Galaxy 3

No Way Home almost got in to the top 10, I like the first act of Endgame then it went downhill quickly after that for me.

Okay. I'm not sure how they're trolling just because they disagree with you slightly. It's not like they've put Quantumania in the top 3 or anything.

Iron Man 3 was when MCU jumped the shark for me. It was just boring things that we'd seen done better, and throwing away great casting for a cringe-worthy joke. One of the worst MCU movies for me.

The Captain America Trilogy is still some of my favorite MCU movies. Now the MCU is just homework. That's what I think why most movies haven't been doing well at the box office lately. It may be time for Kevin Feige to step down from his leadership role.

I own the MCU phase 1 boxset on Blu-ray, I watched all those films at the cinema and was genuinely excited for the films back then, now the story telling is the last thing the MCU considers.

Fair enough, I don't get that at all from it, I found it a very exciting and dramatic movie and one of the best MCUs. Maybe the standard Marvel big action finale is as interesting as ever (and to be honest I didn't even love the finale in the first Iron Man) but I thought it's a just smart and funny film with a good emotional centre. And it even turns into Lethal Weapon briefly which is great.
Afraid I don't give a toss about the Mandarin thing: didn't read the comics, it doesn't matter to me as it's a film. To me it was a great character, very funny, I'm not going to get offended about it.

If 3 disappointed me in any aspect, maybe it’s that it didn’t quite live up to what I think of as a Shane Black film. Still a good MCU film though.

Yeah it’s not full Black, but still more Black than Dr Strange 2 is Raimi.

Oh I’d argue Raimi is more apparent in his film than Black was in his, but that’s primarily because Black’s strengths are in his writing/dialogue while Raimi’s are more his style of directing. Zombie Strange trying to give a pep talk to America Chavez reminded me of how Liam Neeson would talk with half his face rotted off in DARKMAN. Then there’s those classic Raimi crash zooms.

Then the ending is reminiscent of the endings of EVIL DEAD trilogy and DRAG ME TO HELL.

Fair enough, I just found it much flatter and blander than Raimi’s normal films.
It may have crash zooms; IM3 is set at Christmas.

To me what I always think can show whether a film is good or really bad is do you remember the film long after seeing it. There are a few films mentioned here that I have watched but if you were to give me a quiz about them, or even asked me to recall the plot I would have trouble doing it.
    • Doctor Strange 2
    • Iron Man 3
    • Black Panther
    • Captain Marvel

Four films that I would have trouble recalling much from these films. This to me means they weren't terrible cause I tend to remember terrible films, they weren't great cause I would remember great they are just "there" or as the kids say now "meh".

I didn't like Guardians 2 but I can recall the plot and certain bits and sections. That means it leaned more into the terrible film for me.

Movies I remember and didn't like:
    • Ant Man 2
    • Avengers Age of Ultron
    • Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2
    • Ant Man 3
    • Black Panther Wakanda Forever

I never saw Eternals, the movie about the Rings, Captain America New World Order, The Marvels, and the Thunderbolts. Not really interested in the characters or what story they are telling.

I am not sure I will be watching the Fantastic Four film as there have been too many misses in the recent pass. Paying over $80 for tickets and snacks I have to be careful how to spent that money.
