It would be funny if Villeneuve plans to kill Bond!
I wonder if there is a back up plan in case Villeneuve does a Boyle and walks away. Again, just kidding. Seriously though it’s looking more like a 2028 release as DV has a lot on his plate at the minute and script hasn’t been written yet by all accounts.
As for casting I just hope rumours of Tom Holland remain just that. Good actor but way too short.

Re Holland: Good actor but not James Bond, that's all, although he will always be Spider Man for me, he fits that role, Bond? No.

That's sad regarding 2028, maybe they would bring up the teaser trailer for Bond as one of the advertisements in LA 2028? Remember, it will be set in Los Angeles (Hollywood, you know 😏) and with (American Based) Amazon on the wheels, maybe they thought it would be a perfect timing 🤭.

I can see Bond returning to America. Plenty of current problems there to deal with.

Is there a mute button available on this site? Asking for a friend who is sick of reading about certain ... things. B-)

@Stamper just some friendly advice. You might want to calm down on the Chalamet will be Bond schtick.
It’s already getting long in the tooth.

I don't think Broccoli and Wilson ultimately would have won. Amazon has much more money--like 2000 times more money--than Eon. Amazon's lawyers eventually would have forced Eon to settle. Broccoli and especially Wilson knew that. They took the only road out, which happened to be a lucrative one.

The day MGM sold to Amazon was the beginning of the end. We just didn't know it at the time.

“Maybe” does some heavy lifting in my original post. Money matters but so do contracts. The contract that Cubby and Harry made with UA in ‘61 (?) held for over 60 years. Anyway, the real point of my post was to give credit to Broccoli and Wilson for getting what they financially deserved yet holding on long enough to make a point. It seems Amazon listened, maybe begrudgingly, but Salke was let go, and Heyman, Pascal and Villeneuve were hired.
