QOS = LALD (mood dependent but enjoy both immensely; and yes, Moore had a great debut).
You're surprised, I can tell...
I still think QoS has more energy.
The film has the script of an episode of a television series. Don't ask too much.
It's easy to understand why they included the Solex thing in TMWTGG
On to a very different pairing:
Would you rather watch DAF (64%) OR SP (63%)?
On one hand we have Connery returning to the role after 4 year absence. We have a witty script with some colourful characters. Yet another actor portrays Blofeld and brings a feel that fits the tone of the film. The humour and lightness of this movie is not for everyone, but does give the audience a fun ride.
Rotten Tomatoes says Diamonds are Forever is a largely derivative affair, but it's still pretty entertaining nonetheless, thanks to great stunts, witty dialogue, and the presence of Sean Connery.
OR
Craig's fourth movie is a return to big, over the top action. The gadgets come back and we have a ominous henchman who battles Bond to a wonderful fight aboard a train. This film also features Blofeld as the villain. This Blofeld is personally attached to Bond as a step brother or a family friend.
Rotten Tomatoes says Spectre nudges Daniel Craig's rebooted Bond closer to the glorious, action-driven spectacle of earlier entries, although it's admittedly reliant on established 007 formula.
So which adventure is likely to go on your screen?
The fictional island, voodoo themes, mild horror, fun gadgetry, villain ensemble, great vibes here and more adventure than QOS. San Monique sections are the best parts.
I like seeing Bond in New York, and even wish for the state to be the main location for one film, naturally titled 007 in New York.
QOS is great but the locations don't really appeal to me and I prefer the more jovial entries.
DAF
Mud bath scene is a lot of fun, eerie but grand title song, Wint & Kidd and their sly theme always brings a smile, great dialogue, impotent beach boys and nostalgic look at Vegas before it all changed.
Love the atmosphere of the casino city in the desert and nothing else for miles. Best stretch for me is when Bond follows the van out to Whyte Tectronics through to Moon buggy chase.
I've come to like SP more but a few things still don't sit well like the office de-briefing/C intro, over-saturation of filter and CGI wristwatch.
You might as well ask me if I'd rather watch Eyes Wide Shut or Porky's Revenge.
SP is too long and Blofeld in drag is better than Brofeld.
