NTTD as best Bond film @peter
That’s quite a controversial choice given the back catalogue of Bond films.

    I know @Benny .

But I loved it the first time I saw it.

Love it even more now. I’ve seen it countless times. I’ve enjoyed breaking down the anatomy of the scenes they shot (yes, I’ve stopped and started each scene and broke down each one of them).

I could go on and on about why this is a sly and crafty script (I know there are flaws, but I can also point out flaws of any film), but what wins out for anything I watch, is my emotional reaction. And I had a big one for NTTD.

As far as execution of a coherent script, DAD excels above NTTD. In terms of the Bond team knowing what they are doing, both are lost.

For me, I'll go with DAD. Even with all its ultra-outlandish elements, it feels very much like a Bond film to me.

You guys are celebrating the opinions of four people in a world of eight billion.

You’re celebrating the opinion of four people when, how many members do we have on this site?

You guys are celebrating the opinion of four people when on Rotten Tomatoes the audience score for NTTD is 88% of 10 thousand plus reviewers and it stands at 84% with critics. Seems it’s aging just fine, when you look at a wider spectrum that’s outside of one echo chamber…

And an idiot like me has NTTD at number 1. So…, yeah lol indeed 🙄.

Sure maybe it works just fine on its own and ages well in it's own respect, especially if you let the emotional aspect of the story sweep you in (as would probably most casual viewers would). The only first viewing concern one would have is that it's needlessly long and misuses Blofeld. But in the context of the series, and if you try and consider more, it falls apart. So yeah I'd say it doesn't age well from a fan perspective, at least for me, because the more I look, the more I see a resolution built on top of card tower. Anyway, the system of Rotten Tomato's is % of people who rate it above 6/10 right? That's probably the rating I've give it right after seeing it for the first time; just falls off from then

    For you it falls apart.

I’m a lifelong fan. It works in the Craig Era. It works as part of the series. For me, it’s beautiful and my number one.

If you hate it, great, that’s your opinion. I’m not going to try and change your mind. You like what you like, you don’t like what you don’t like.

But this film was a success. To worldwide audiences. In digital. On repeat viewings. And it shows that James Bond, whether you kill him, or resurrect him as a new actor in the tux, shows that he, the character, is in fine shape.

But to come on a fan site, and feel glee about four members rating a film last is kind of pathetic, quite frankly— btw, I’m not saying this about you. It was the two other members.

It isn’t an us vs them thing, but that’s definitely how some are taking it. It’s absurd and ridiculous.

Some fans count CR’67 and NSNA so it’s a bit confusing sometimes.

I'll give you a clue, it's the film where James Bond has a kid, calls M 'darling' and gets blown up at the end.
No time to die is missing from the list because I haven't seen it. Knowing the ending I have chosen not to watch it, and for me Spectre is where Craig story ends. And I am content with that.

Sensible. It's also missing from my DVD collection.
