I love Moonraker for what it is. It's a real bank holiday Bond movie!

I can possibly see NTTD breaking into my top ten in the future...

    I absolutely love it!

Am glad I'm able to have nearly all the Bond actors in my Top 10 ( apart from you know who!😆) The next Bond actor is going to have to be exemplary and be in a strong film to fit in there!

Fine ranking as usual @Mathis1! We share the top 3 :)
Poor Pierce though, but we all have our preferences ;)

Sorry lads, Ol' Brossa does absolutely nothing for me as Bond! I still watch his films, I am a Bond fan after all, but despite a few good things (Kleinman, Dench, Marceau, Arnold) they will always be bottom of the barrel in my eyes!

That is something that I wish someone (not me, at least not in the near future) would do. Scan the thread to try and see if any two people's rankings actually match up down the line.

"Other" consists of media websites, and these days, mostly from scouring through hundreds of youtube comments for lists.

    Some observations:
    - Note the big differences in ranks for the movies highlighted in purple and red, mostly notably a decline in SF, GE, TSWLM, NTTD and TND in this forum, and lower ranks for OHMSS, TLD, DN, TB, OP and QOS for the 'public'. I think the biggest mover is LTK among the general audience

    - The background colours denote tiers that I observed probably a decade ago. I think new tiers are needed

    - The Total coloumn is skewed depending on the proportion of Bond forum vs other website rankings I have

I don't think I've ever seen 2 lists that have a same exact top ten on these pages! Please correct me if I'm wrong....😁

Very informative @w2bond. Thanks for sharing.

Are you sure that is correct @Junglist_1985? Not that it matters, but I calculate 1.5511210043330984E+25 possible permutations (i.e. 25x24x23x22x.......x4x3x2x1). Regardless, it's a very large number. :D

Sometime ago, we had a thread in which participants selected their top Bond movies - without ranking them. Unfortunately, while I still have the tabulated results, I can't find the exact thread. Either way, it may be useful to see how many of us named the same films.

Yeah you're right. Very large number indeed. I wonder how that number changes if you factor in the way people rank some films, such as DAD usually being at the bottom.

On this forum, the top 5 films ranked first on lists are:
    CR 28.6%
    OHMSS 15.9%
    FRWL 11.1%
    TLD 9.5%
    SF 7.9%
(ie, there is 73% chance that someone has one of those films ranked as first!)

For other rankings, the top 5 1st places are:
    CR 28.9%
    SF 15.1%
    GF 13.2%
    GE 8.2%
    OHMSS 6.9%

There is also about 80% chance of DAD appearing in the bottom 5.
