    Bond and Kara escaping the airbase is great stuff. I really do love this film.

    My neighbor has hair like Dalton's in this film. Looks really good on him.
    I used to have mine cut like that. It was easy to maintain.

    Haha! I've never really minded Terry as Leiter, except he doesn't have much to do here. I liked him in HAWK THE SLAYER.

    The horses ass love scene is like no other in a Bond film.
    I remember feeling like that back in 1987.

    My favorite section of this Bond movie is indeed Afghanistan.
    I could be the only fan who loves these scenes that much.
    Barry's score aids immensely. That said, I've always loved these scenes.

    Controversial opinion:
    I like Dalton's pain face even more than Brosnan's.
    It's more fun to imitate.
    Whenever I'm reaching for something that's a pain in the ass to get, I do the painface Dalton makes as Necros is strangling him.
    It's funny.
    I should post that in the controversial opinion thread.

    As good as all of the post-Connery Bonds have been, there was “something” about Dalton that really added a welcomed layer of reality to the role. It’s a pity that US audiences (especially) really didn’t take to him.
    Several years ago, during a TCM broadcast of THE LION IN WINTER (1968) a couple of people on twitter commented about how they couldn’t reconcile how charismatic he was as Prince Philip II vs. how bland they felt he was as James Bond. To each his own, I guess.

    Yeah. I thought he was great right away. I recall the first picture I saw of him for the film as Bond..............

    Looks like the picture was snapped as he was blinking. Still, he looked damned cool and Fleming like, IMO.

    I love the Afghanistan scenes. Music, scenery and action all top notch. I cannot fathom out why it gets so much flack...
