    But now, she's also gone.

    But she lived long at the age of 96.

    The contrast of her role in The Manchuria Candidate compared to her warm, lovely character of Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote really illustrates what a phenomenally strong and intelligent actress she was.

    The joke writes itself, just like with someone who remembers watching Rashômon... but you might have actually seen the original 1940 British version starring Anton Walbrook, with Cathleen Cordell as the maid.

    Interestingly, Angela Lansbury's brother, Bruce, served as a producer on Murder She Wrote, but before that he was the showrunner to The Wild, Wild West (taking over from creator Michael Garrison, who cracked his skull from slipping on the marble stairs in his new home), before joining the production team for Mission: Impossible.

    And Angela's final film role will be Glass Onion, starring of course Craig. Apparently, it will now be dedicated to her memory.

    Gosh just learned about it. Tragic. And I always first and foremost saw him as Fitz, before Hagrid and before Zukovsky.

    What shocking news. Great in Bond and Potter of course but for me he will forever be Fitz in Cracker. One of the greatest television performance's of all time in one of the best TV shows of all time.

    I knew he was not well very sad news, R.I.P. Robbie Coltrane.

    My earliest memory of Robbie was the epic film Krull

    It was great to see him in the recent Harry Potter anniversary documentary.

    Sad and shocked to hear of the untimely death of Robbie Coltrane. He was a larger than life character and a great asset to the two Brosnan Bond films he appeared in as Valentin Zukovsky.

    I'm afraid I didn't know Robbie Coltrane was ill. That's very sad news. He brought great personality to the big screen. I'll always cherish his two appearances in Bond.

    Crushing, one of my all time favorite Bond allies. I always loved his little "arc" throughout the Brosnan era and he shined in plenty of other roles. RIP, Mr. Coltrane.

    Oh no. Him and Eric Idle made a great double act in Nuns On The Run. Not too mention his guest appearance as Dr Johnson in Blackadder The Third, before going on to show his dramatic range as Fitz in Cracker.

    I don't know the details, but as I understand he battled all his life with substance addiction.

    It's no secret he struggled with alcohol and drugs. Maybe that's why he was so great in Cracker: he channelled a lot of himself in the role, especially a dark side nobody suspected he had.

    Yes, Brits of a certain age will remember Robbie Coltrane as a comedian and comic actor for several years, before he tried dramatic stuff with Cracker. I didn't realise he was anything like 72, tbh.
