    I prefer that reading of the iconic line to earlier with the police officer.

    I don't mind the silly ass firetruck chase, really. It's pretty brief, some of the bits are kind of funny and it suits Roger Moore.

    The 1980's was a good decade to become a Bond fan, especially as a kid.
    It hadn't been that long since OP and NSNA when this one came out in May of '85. It was great to get a new film every other year, VHS had become attainable and ABC aired the films regularly.

    The colors pop on this set.
    The warehouse fight is pretty lame, but I like it anyway. I remember it got a few laughs in the cinema back in '85.
    I wonder if any of the humorous bits got laughter during the re-release this year?
    I imagine the film looked good in 4K on a big screen.

    Bond and Mayday get down. Had Roger's iconic OOOOOOOHHHHHH been inserted as she climbs on top of him, I'd have immediately ranked this film in my top 3.

    Unfortunately I didnt get to see AVTAK in the current re-releases. Looking forward immensely to the CR showing this Tuesday!

    Isn't there something similar in one of the early John Gardner novels? Been decades since I read them.

    Oh yes, good times indeed! The T.V. premiere of LALD was a massive audience grabber, Rog was riding high as Bond in the cinema. With a little interjection by Sean...and then of course, we got the best Bond, Mr. Dalton! Fond memories living in those times,I had left school in early 80's, straight into an economic depression ( much worse than later one imo!), Bond was still there though, a wonderful pick me up in quite desperate times!
