    I'm refreshing Rattling Stick's website every hour to see when they post the NTTD title sequence, lol. I want an HD image of that PPK Double Helix for my future-custom-NTTD-box-art!

    That’s a cool symbolic reading of the gun barrel, I can definitely buy that.

    Yeah, I like it too. As I was saying in that thread, does it seem in this video like the gunshot sound comes slightly before Bond shoots? Maybe we shot first!

    Speaking of box art, there's been so many posters for this film that I do wonder what will end up making the cut for the standard Blu-ray, the inevitable steelbook, etc...

    Although part of me hopes a 60th Anniversary 4K set gets announced alongside the home video release so I can decide whether it's worth buying the standalone release or just going for the box set.

    I don't like the Universal dots. Glad I'm in the U.S.

    We haven't had a 100% normal gunbarrel since 1999. I was kind of annoyed about the no blood thing until I understood the symbolism.

    Then again, what is a DC Bond movie without a gunbarrel with a twist?

    Someone on YouTube mentioned that and while I didn't catch it myself, I assumed at most that it was just slightly mistimed. Not a huge deal. Now you've definitely made me rethink that...

    I totally missed you saying that (despite it being just a couple posts above), but rewatched it with that in mind and think you may very well be on to something.

    A shot that I've not seen ANYONE mention is at the beginning of the climax when Nomi and Bond are about to ascend this spiral staircase, the camera tilts up so we're looking at the staircase from below for a split second, and it looks VERY much like a gunbarrel to me.

    It looks as though the first images and interview with Kleinman discussing the titles is online. I cannot access it as it is behind a paywall, however, we do have our first clear look at the DNA helix made of guns. Probably one of the more inspired images in a fairly drab sequence. I enjoy the bold use for the colour in the background. Also, I believe these screencaps are in the IMAX aspect ratio......

    I liked it but I'd grown used to the Skyfall and Spectre sequences that heavily previewed scenes from the movie. This one was far more abstract.

    Seeing No Time To Die in 3D is well worth it just for the titles alone. I'd ranked these 3rd overall behind Skyfall and No Time To Die as far as the Craig era is concerned.

    Best credits since CR. I love the colors, no more dark and broody stuff. Great visuals, especially in the context of the film.

    I also think it was one of Kleinmans best! Much improved from SF and SP ( though I like a lot of the latter!)

    If I was to rank the titles, I think No Time To DIe is my least favourite personally.

    1) Skyfall
    2) Casino Royale
    3) Quantum Of Solace
    4) Spectre
    5) No TIme To DIe

    I've come around massively on this sequence and now consider it the third-best of the series behind GE and (a likely eternal #1) CR.

    The title sequence was a real highlight for me, in fact I think it might be my new favourite of the whole series.

    As much as I wanted to return to a more Brosnan-esque gun barrel design, I have to say I really liked the design this time around. It just worked for me and I love the zoom up the barrel into the opening shot.

    I've said it a couple times now but I really don't mind if they keep with a more modern 8-sided rifling barrel in future, although I think they could still do a little bit better with getting the coloring just right to match Kleinman's barrel during the Brosnan era. Whether or not the scene reflects into the barrel as it fades in, and regardless of where on the screen the dot opens up, I'm also open to having the barrel not disappear.

    Love the MGM lion. And I really like the gunbarrel a lot. It foreshadows the ending, which I did not fully get till later.

    I think this may be the strongest Main title sequence since CR.

    Tracking out of the barrel into the scene makes so much sense in hindsight it almost seems crazy it hasn't been thought of before! :)
    I'd quite like to see that in 3D, even.
