Octopussy was my first cinema Bond film, the Astro Jet sequence is good, I have not watched many Bond films lately though when I have time I will do a Bond Comments Whilst I watch.

You should! It would be great to read your comments. I haven't done as many this year as I normally do, mostly due to time, but am getting back into it.

It's been a few years since I have done one, we should try to do another group watch of one of the films see if any other members would be interested?

Great idea. Maybe pick a night that works for everyone and vote on a film? It was fun doing those group viewings.

This Friday, Saturday or perhaps that is too soon maybe some notice is a better idea to build the numbers up?

I'd be happy to participate. Might be a bit difficult with time zones though

Friday might work for me. I'm in the Eastern Time Zone. So we could coordinate.

I am from the UK though time zones are not an issue for me as after today not back at work until Monday. I am 5 hours ahead of Eastern Time.

So if it was say 5pm Friday Eastern time it would be 10pm for me in the UK etc.
  • I am in UK time zone too, though 10PM sounds rather late for me... I-)

I would have loved to have been involved in past group watches but it was never convenient time for me!

Saturday could also be a possibility for me, and my schedule on Sunday just cleared up.
In other words, work got cancelled on Sunday.
  • anything prior to next Wednesday (when that thing called school starts) is fine for me!

What time is everyone thinking, I will go with what ever time.

What film should we watch, any is fine for me as not watched most of the films in some time.

    Saturday evening works for me.
Any particular film? Maybe we could pick one in honor of @barryt007?
Which films did he have ranked high?
Of course this would exclude TLD, sadly.

Watching some of DAF I have always liked the way this film is shot, a lot of the film when Blofeld is not in the film is enjoyable Connery is having a lot of fun with the role in this one.

Bond on the moon I love this scene after the radiation shield comment, poking fun at the validity of the moon landing.

The score for DAF is right up there with the best, the score carries the movie.

I always congratulate the save on the continuity of the two wheel car stunt, for me it works and I like the shot when the camera switches from Tiffany to Bond when the car shifts to the wheels on the other side.

Oh, God no, I hate the way they did that, and how did the car go back on all fours and how did it get back up on two again?
They really should have reshot it, how no one thought to make sure it was on the correct side is baffling!!

Blofeld's and Bonds encounter in the Whyte house is good, I love the set Connery looks great with Black Tuxedo.

With footage they had I commend them getting out of a hole, perhaps they could have had a few seconds of the car flat before titling to the other side, again probably restricted to what they had filmed.

Elevators are a hazard in DAF approach with caution.

    I absolutely love this theme...

Bond unconscious laid out in the pipe viewed from the inside whilst lowered into the soil is a great allusion to the gun barrel.

Bond escaping the pipe line does look like he is scrambling down the gun barrel, great lighting during this scene.

Looks like the QoS gunbarrel design to me.
Does TSWLM sound good for tomorrow? What would be the best time?
