i like the dark and moody tone, you have a director like Sam Mendes, it would be stupid not to make the whole thing a mean moody affair. Reminds me a bit of the dark knight so far.

My pleasure. Yes, I think, it did succeed, where it needed...

Looks perfect to me. Really evokes Fleming's Bond. And they seem to be channeling some elements from MWTGG. Very excited now!!

Hey, i've noticed a difference between the trailer that was broadcast on the BBC and the one on the website.
    Web version.
At 1.16sec after the beetle cars fall from the train and it next shows Bond fighting under orangey coloured water and then it cuts to the motorbike flying off the train.
    BBC broadcast version.
At 1.16sec after the beetle cars fall from the train, the next shots shows Bond punching a large man with oriental statues in the background (underwater fight is not there) and then it cuts to the motorbike flying off the train.

    Interesting!!??

A huge plus for Craig's Bond is that he seems true to the type of personality that thrives in the armed services. Having met a fair number of military types, including special forces, they tend to have that driven, target-oriented no-nonsense approach to life

Oh come on - they are hardly poor victims, now aren't they? And I am not the first here nor the last to find that funny, that they act with the predictibility and preciseness of a clockwork.
With the exception of Dalton/Craig. Cudos for that. =D>

I know what you mean. It's so tempting but I've looked at enough spoilers already, I don't want to ruin the film.

Aha, thank you Marketto, thought i had a bit of a scoop there! Forgive me if this has already been discussed but do we know who the punched guy is? (and where this happens?)

    Wow, how incredibly arrogant GL.

Maybe we just have different but perfectly valid opinions and if we express them without abusing anyone (like you just did - you're certainly no victim) then what's the problem? Do you want a forum full of nothing but amens and hallelujahs? That's just the kind of snide dismissal that poisons these discussions and makes people feel unwelcome, or scared to disagree.

But I guess that's exactly what you want.

It's a henchman, outside the Floating Dragon Casino, in Macao.

You could say the same thing about Craig lovers.... you knew in advance who would definatly find the trailer 'perfect'...... it's not just the Craig detractors that are predictable.....

Bourne #2, Supremacy, is the only truly great one, IMO. That one works on every level. And I definitely think Damon's "apology" scene at the end inspired the end of QOS. But who cares...

And now Bourne is copying Bond by casting a Daniel Craig clone in the shape of Jeremy Renner.

:-w Really??? Renner a Craig clone? I hope that's sarcasm. For the last time, neither copy the other, they're both different and can both be enjoyed.

Some examples of DC in "lighter mode" from earlier films:

    "not quite so stylishly"

    "Welcome to my home"
    "because then they'd be bad"
    Sorry I'm late...that last hand...nearly killed me"
    "You ok?"

All those lines were more convincingly delivered than anything from Dalton.

(waits for getafix to bite back).

What does Dalton have to do with it???? Why bring him up??? I could argue about why I think Dalton was better but I can't be arsed, it gets tiring. I just don't see why you couldn't have praised Craig without bashing Dalton.

Except Bond, the playboy spy and lover of fine things, was never a military type

It does..ands I knew I had it coming...still, I am not the only one who expressed exactly what I did.

@DC - you did? I hardly know the majority of people who postet on this one.

Since he appeared on big screens, Renner has been compared to DC with his looks. Don't see it myself, but its an overall opinion.

@actonsteve and @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, it was just speaking of how they wished it was more like a trailer - which I swiftly announced it was a teaser trailer, and accomplished exactly what it set out to do, along with other posters having childish fights, talking about how _______ is the only Bond, Craig sucks, teaser trailer was boring, etc., and just people spouting off on bits of the teaser trailer that are completely false.

Really? I don't see it either. He does remind me an awful lot of Sean Bean though.

    Thank You Marketto

I'm staying out of the point scoring, "each Bond was right for his time" said MGW on the BBC yesterday. You know guys he's hit the nail on the head.
We cant turn back the clock or know which direction Bond will take in the future, so lets enjoy what we have right now!

Neither. I don't know enough about him or follow him to know, if he thrives on that so called similarity or not. I don't think, he needs to, though.

I'm curious how Renner's 'Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters' film will turn out. It looks like they've been working on it for quite some time, before he became really popular, so let's hope he backs the film's release without any worry.

I really don't see it. He looks/acts completely different to Craig from what I've seen of him (28 weeks later, Hurt locker, Avengers).

who said it a terrible crime? for me is just crime, not terrible crime, what i want to say is Dalton make the character (Bond) into shakespearean wanna be, change Dalton line "shaken not stirred" with "to be or not to be"

Call me crazy, but if I had to choose, i'd rather see Bond turned into into a shakespearean character than see Bond turned into a charmless thug.

I do indeed think you are crazy in that thought. Now, you know that I love Dalton immensely as Bond, but I see little to zero difference in LTK Dalton and QOS Craig. But I do see a lot of similarities in Dalton TLD and Craig CR as far as a root portrayal of the character and after 40+ years I think I just might know what I am talking about.

You and others are stuck, and this is a bit unfair to Craig, watching one actor doing normal Bond and another doing "rookie" Bond. I don't see Dalton doing any better or any worse with Craig's material, it's the way it was written. They are meant to show Bond growing into Bond, and not Bond being Bond. My suggestion, said with respect to a fellow Daltonite, is that I am positive you will see a lot more elements of the Bond you expect to see in October/November and you (and others) are letting the previous duo as Brown M would say, "cloud your judgment".

No one here really knows what we are going to get with Craig as the normal Bond until SkyFall is released. You certainly can't fairly judge how he will be based on a teaser trailer. One thing we all do know- Bond actors change. If you can't roll with the changes by now...

Craig was the best thing about QOS but I really don't think he was similar/just as good as Dalton in that. He was good in CR but again, I don't think he is as good as Dalton was and I don't see the similarities.

I do agree with you on some things though, we can't judge the film based on the teaser, and so far Craig has only played the rookie Bond. That's why I'm looking forward to SF, I've seen Craig play rookie Bond well, now I want to see him play the normal Bond.
