I haven't done this in a while, but mine would look something like the following:

    On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    Thunderball
    Dr. No
    From Russia With Love
    Goldfinger
    Casino Royale
    The Living Daylights
    Licence To Kill
    Goldeneye
    For Your Eyes Only
    Octopussy
    Moonraker
    The Spy Who Loved Me
    Skyfall
    Spectre
    Quantum of Solace
    Live And Let Die
The Man With The Golden Gun
    A View To A Kill
    You Only Live Twice
    Diamonds Are Forever
    Tomorrow Never Dies
    Die Another Day
    The World Is Not Enough

The first 10 are the only that really matter to me, personally.

And a very solid top 10 it us too!
    (Apart from GE for me!)

I think it's there for nostalgia value, although if that was the true reason The Spy Who Loved Me would also be higher. I do like almost every aspect of Goldeneye including Eric Serra's score. If anything I think it's weak point is Brosnan's portrayal, IMO.

Well we agree on Brossa! I find GE quite dull, and it has a lot of very annoying characters..,Boris, Jack Wade and even Onatopp irks me (Always thought her a poor man's Fatima Blush...Barbara Carrera did it far better!). Sorry, but I find Serras score dreadful!

Those are the three films that get me invested time and time again. Always been a big defender of the two 'underrated' Bonds.
Anyway, concerning FYEO, it definitely also comes down to liking other entries more, but the problem I've got with it is that it is a bit unremarkable. I'm sure some films have lower lows but they also have higher highs.

Fair enough! Feel FYEO probably deserves re-appraisal. Don't think it tops anyone list? (I could be wrong!) I like a lot of it, and Rog looks great in it! It's one of those Bonds, where as our friend Birdleson might say, if there were some necessary cuts, it may improve a lot (lose the cringey Bibi in Bonds bed, the submersible attack, trim the lead up to the ski chase, the Margaret Thatcher epilogue!) And it would be an improvement!
Yes to your comment on th ed top 3, they provide everything for my Bond fix!

@ToTheRight I remember having top 10 very similar to yours with DN and TB pretty high and TSWLM at #1. But now I just can't go over those criminally low placements for CR 06 and GE. :D

I flip flop back and forth between SF and CR. Next week no doubt CR will back back in that spot. Or thereabouts.
GE, on the other hand suffered a bit from my last re-watch. Perhaps it was my mood, but the pacing seemed slow. TWINE, I had a blast with last time.

If you dropped SP one more space we’d match at the top and bitty.

LOL. I was tempted to put SP in last place. Very tempted. However, considering that NTTD brings back characters and continues the story arc from SP, placing the most recent film dead last may lesson my anticipation for the upcoming epic.
Therefore, DAD is my fall guy for last place.
GF remains in my number 1 spot standing proud and tall.

Damn fine top 3, @GoldenGun. We share the same #1, but #2 and #3 are the other way around. But I completely understand your #2 and #3. Back in 2015 I went to see the TLD/LTK double-bill on the big screen. My regret is not going back for the 6th week for the OHMSS/TMWTGG double-bill. Not seeing OHMSS on the big screen? I could kick myself for that.

Thank you, yeah FRWL is awesome tbh and imo is a perfect masterpiece as is MR and GE (which is why they're top 3, and they each get a 10/10 from me). DAD used to be my number 2 but it went down slightly on my last watch but I still love it, it's just a highly fun and entertaining movie from start to finish even if it has some issues.

Can I ask, did you come into the Bond world with GE? As you seem to be a big fan of his films!

Well I'm not entirely sure myself as I've been told I saw CR in theaters and I have vauge memories of the PTS in theaters but GoldenEye was the first I really remember and it left an instant impact. I remember for a period of like 2 or 3 months I'd watch it every single day (this was 2007-2008 so I was 4-6 years old at the time) until the disc stopped working much to my family's annoyance. Yet during all those watches I always loved it and never got bored, I did this with TND and DAD as well as a kid but I honestly couldn't put GE down. So years later when I got the Blu ray 50th anniversary set I knew GE would be the first one I'd watch and it was. So yeah I'd say GE is what made me fall in love with Bond, GE on N64 also helped too but GE the movie is mainly what sealed the deal for me. As a result it's easily my favorite movie in the franchise and I hold it very close to my heart, the movie means a lot to me to say the least. Tl:dr Yes GE is what got me into Bond and why Brosnan is the best for me, he's always been that to me heh

It's always nice to see a fan talk so passionately about their favourite Bond film.

That's whats so cool about Bond fans. We all have our individual favourites and the stories behind why they are.

Nice to see a ranking so personalized. I always get bored reading the usual list that looks like it was put together using Rotten Tomato scores. It's also nice to see another Brosnan fan, these forums are very anti-Brosnan. I'm afraid that the corruption in this current government cannot be tolerated... we must overthrow this anti-Brosnan regime.

    23) The World is Not Enough

What about NSNA and LTK? Haven t you seen those? Top and bottom is the same for me.

Ha I forgot about LTK...I will adjust my list. NSNA was actually the first Bond movie I saw back when I was 8...I have never really cared for it.
  • @GeorgeLazenby Your lists resemble those from the Bond and Beyond forums (appreciation of MR, DAF as well as a strong distaste for Brosnan). You have an account over there by chance?

    Nice list btw.

Thanks! Yes I once had an account (Drax) at Bond and Beyond...but I think it's been discontinued. I was George Lazenby at the old Mi6 forum too.

I haven’t watched the entire series in a few years, but Skyfall is still my favorite. It’s a pleasure to watch even outside the scope of Bond.

    Thanks mate :)

I'd love to see that double bill, as I also happen to love TMWTGG, hence the nickname ;)
OHMSS and TMWTGG, quite a strange combination, although, if one takes away JW's nosedive and the slide whistle, TMWTGG is not as comical as many would believe.
