Oh, maybe they hired someone to work on it while Jensen was doing LALD.
If they are so proud of his two comics, this would be a perfect opportunity to bring him back for another series.
And here's the cover and sollicitation for the third issue of James Bond :
So is this like a collection of short stories? Or is this one series with different writers per issue?
I would love to see Dan Panosian getting more involved for example, besides covers.
The Cover is by Fay Dalton by the way. No wonder it's so good.
Or the Blofeld trilogy as one big graphic novel. All three of them deserve it. The legal rights are available, use them!
I believe that's 20 creators. Includes writers. Could be 1 writer & 1 artist apiece for 10 different stories...
That is right, it's 20 creators. Though that sounds quite excessive for a 128 page HC book. For comparison Case Files Vol. 1 with it's 4 one shots had over 150 pages.
I'm just really glad to see guys like Diggle, Casalanguida and Percy back in the game, even if i find the format a bit strange.
But let's worry about that later, for now my focus is 100% on next wednesday, which will be a full dose of Bond, as we get our first taste of the next film and the next comic series.
It's not a good start.
The review doesn't really motivate me to disinterest. I have no problem with a slower start. Let's see what the next couple of issues have to say. :)
In fact, I first need to read #1 myself. ;-)
I'm pretty much done with Dynamite.
I just finished reading #1 and I will cancel my subscription to this new series and all upcoming ones, and check the comics, before i buy any.
It's so painfully obvious where they are going with this crap. I already suffered through this for 12 month with Oddjob and I will not support this any longer.
There is now a 0.2 percent chance this series will not be utter garbage, with an representation agenda shoved in there for good measure, and Bond being completely sidelined again. And Dynamite has the audacity to call this "James Bond"?!
Well, it was nice while it lasted.
I don't think Oddjob was all that bad. Origin was the one to let me down.
Have you read all 12 issues of each series @DarthDimi?
Oddjob gets worse while Origins gets better especially in the second half.
BUT... I think more than anything it's a set up for future issues, or so I hope.
If not, this would definitely be... well, quite disgraceful.
