Grave guess is Mathis for me..

He dumped him in garbage and said he wouldn't have cared. I don't think Bond is going to travel to Italy to visit him after all these years. He's not mentioned him since 2008. Vesper reminders were as recent as the last film and both times involved Madeline Swann.

As much as he was a great character, the general audience won't remember Mathis but the vast majority will remember Vesper. Be a nice touch if his was there but the main one he is there to see will be her grave.

The grave has photos of a man on it though. So not vesper.

Also it’s Easter during the Italy scenes so Bond’s outfit fits the Easter vibe. Not a fan of it though.

    Show me this picture please.

(Because I don't think it exists).

Sunday possibly. Some rumors going around. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Once we know where in film the Matera scene take place, the better idea we will have about the story........

I think it's kinda odd that Bond would take Madeleine to Matera so he could see Vesper's grave. Taking your current girlfriend to another country, so you can put flowers on your ex-girlfriend's grave is a little solipsistic.

This dude needs to get over Vesper. She betrayed you 14 years ago, dude. You're going out with Lea *freaking* Seydoux! Life is good!

    large.jpg

Plus, the attack is clearly primed for Bond. Why would someone rig up Vesper Lynd's grave with a bomb in the hope of killing Madeleine? This suggests that the whole 'Young Madeleine' and 'Seydoux is central to the plot' rumours are nonsense.

It is clear SPECTRE behind the attack for revenge on Bond. HOWEVER......this is only the case if the sequence is the PTS. The MI6-HQ article is still saying it's the PTS:
    https://www.mi6-hq.com/sections/articles/bond-25-filming-italy12?id=04563

If it really is scene 50-something than there is an entirely different reason to be in Matera.

Looks like they are just relaxing, no filming there (at least for now).

EDIT: Asked the official profile of the beach, they are filming there.

Highly doubt it'll be on a Sunday - trailer/marketing drops are almost never on the weekends except for if there's a reason (premiering on prime time television, events like Comic-Con...)

“NTTD will come full circle from CR. Fukunaga stated it. CR is Fukunaga's favorite Bond. It's Vesper.”

...Do we know for sure that CR is CJF’s favorite Bond film? If so, that’s incredibly important and exciting news. I know he said Craig was his favorite Bond, but didn’t know it was also CR...

@Junglist_1985 I believe CF said CR was his favourite Bond film during the first interviews at Goldeneye.

I've been on the set. Trust me, it's Vesper.

Technically hers is a mausoleum rather than a typical gravestone.

The scenes don't take place at Easter either. Matera scenes are July 2nd during La festa della Bruna.

Not gonna lie, couldn't give a rats arse about Dan's suit. Firstly I don't think it looks that bad, worse suits have appeared in the franchise, and also a suit is the least of your concerns. Let's see whether it's a good film first :)

This is for everybody in here. In one of my tweets I wrote this, because twitterpeople was wondering about the bonfires:

In some stills & footage you can see a procession with musicians, bonfires in different squares, a female statue, etc. That's because scenes in #Matera plays out on July 2nd when the town celebrates the festival Festa della Bruna in honour of the town's sacred protectress, the Madonna della Bruna. Although the festival is in honour of the Madonna, it is far from being a purely religious event. Tens of thousands of local people turn out onto the streets for a week of celebrations with coloured lights, market stalls, town bands and grand processions. Events climax with a pagan-style rite of destruction, before a valedictory firework display.

@slyfox and @Contraband, you've been absolute heroes around here. Thank you both.

    Oh, btw, just found this.

    It reads:

In this very first livestream experience, we journey through the many images and videos from the filming of "No Time To Die" in Matera, Italy. You are cordially invited to join in, share your opinions and ask any questions you might have. This will be fun!

Brought to you by The Bond Bulletin

I don't know, could be fun. Right? Probably nothing we haven't seen already thanks to you two ;) But they do make good edits. Let's see...

Sassilive reports that filming at the "hotel room" balcony set is over. So it wasn't built in order to destroy it.

Probably for the view, then. Which is wonderful, considering they could've used green screen and went for a practical approach.

This balcony is probably the most photographed in Italy the last month, but no one took a picture when they were actually shooting?

I have no idea? James Bond day is approaching but again that is still a couple of weeks or more away. Be surprised if they wait that long now we know it is ready to release!

Maybe the Matera scenes are sort of flashbacks during the Jamaica or Cuba scenes to show us how Bond ended up on his own there.

    Shooting location Sunday:

Piazza Vittorio Veneto/streets - same square/area second unit began with two weeks ago, where the Craigs & Leas stunt-doubles drove the AM followed by the camera crane car. My guess is that Craig & Lea and the stunt driver on the roof will repeat those scenes.

  • Are they filming here or just chilling? I suspect they are relaxing - I suspect that Cary is friends with both Lea Seydoux and Linus Sandgren as they are the two people he has shared photos with on Instagram.

As long as the light ballance is right. I don´t want to see something like the Hoffler Clinic again, where the alpine panorama wasn´t visible at all in the interior shots.
