As far as I can tell we haven't seen Ana, Ben, Rami, Christoph, Naomie or David Dencik in any scenes? Not even behind the scenes. Right??

I don't count Prince Charles visit at Pinewood when Naomi & Lashana was present and said hello.

Nomi was in Jamaica during the club scene and with Bond at his house.

    You mean Lashana?

    It’s spelled “Nomi”..

But the original quote was asking about whether Naomie Harris was seen on set, not whether we've seen Lashana Lynch's character.

Lea spotted on set again......I'm so shocked how we know so little! Does anyone know if we are getting photos tonight? I heard mention that they were going to shoot at night with a 100 extras.

So it's pretty much confirmed Swann will be also part of the Norway finale. The same stunt was in Matera as well, doubling for some scenes Lea filmed today.

At this point the guy who's driving the Toyota must be Magnussen, kind of confirming our first thoughts that he's a CIA agent working for Malek.

    Indeed.

*MINOR* spoilers allowed no? Wouldn't it be a nice idea to move plot predictions and story guessing to a separate topic? I don't see the fun in slowly making the 'puzzle' complete and let a *HUGE* plot spoiler unfold without being really conscious about it. There is no such thing to me as *minor* spoilers either. Minor spoiler inevitably become big spoilers. Either tag this topic with *WARNING: HUGE SPOILERS* or *NO SPOILERS ALLOWED*. Or perhaps I am a bit too worried...... But it's just an idea. "SPECTRE" still left me with a bitter after taste 🤔.

The clue is not in the MINOR - MAJOR- HUGE - MASSIVE- COLOSSAL
    But in the word
    SPOILERS
That's why we have the production diary, and the NTTD filming thread minor spoilers.
It gives those who wish to avoid spoilers the heads up, that this thread does contain spoilers and should probably be avoided. But they can still discuss NTTD in the production diary thread.

Can we talk about how one of the clapperboards seen in Sapri is scene 253? Are they utilizing a different numbering system or will the film clock in at 3 hours?

@jake24 I found this image of an old SPECTRE clapperboard... this definitely has to be a different numbering system. I did theorise a possible intentional misdirection, but don't think they think that much about it haha :D

Has anyone heard if this will be another 150 minute plus Bond film? Two in a row would be unheard of but if this is indeed Craigs last perhaps there is just too much story.

    If I had to guess
    Norway pts 10-15 minutes
    Jamaica - 25-30 minutes
    Matera - 20-25 minutes
    Cuba -30-35 minutes
    London - 20-25minutes
    Norway - 35-40 minutes

This film will easily come in Between 140-150 minutes

Lea doesn't die throughout the movie. Thank God. It was a terrible cop-out idea.

I have arranged to stay an additional week here. Such a great city!

Tonight scenes are taking place outside The Church of Santa Maria De Idris with a huge amount of extras (probably around 100 or more). They will walk together in procession whilst each holding a type of lantern, so it'll look beautiful at night. This is part of the July 2nd religious festival held here in Matera. At the very front is a priest with some young lads dressed in white religious clothing.

The first two digits refer to the roll of film. So in the NTTD clapperboard, it's roll X2, scene 53B, Take 5 (OR...Roll X25, Scene 3B!!!) In SP, it is roll V4, Scene 3BR, Take 1.

Lovely this clapperboard confusion 😊👌🏼? Finally we forummembers can then not proclaim we are some kind of stand-in crew members. We are then being taught that the real-life 'elite' crewmembers have full control back after that SonyLeaks disaster and we, poor folksy followers, really have to wait until the bitter end to guess for clues, which is April 3rd 2020. If true, I am glad 'elitism' works again a bit 😂.

That film roll number theory would seem to make sense, but if you look at the clapperboards from DC's other Bond films, there are boards with, for example, for Skyfall, X132L, which shows what looks like a kitchen, and what it is is the kitchen carriage during the Hinx train fight, and that is scene 132, not roll X1 scene 32, as we know the fight is about 92 mins into the film. There are lots of clapperboards for Skyfall and Spectre which shows the alphanumeric code beginning with V. All of them are correctly numbered for where the scenes appear in the film; there is no need for a film roll number. Why can't rolls of film simply be the letter?

As I said some days ago, since Matera/Italy seems to have quite a symbolic meaning to the film - Bond visiting Vesper grave, spending time with Madeleine in the hotel room, with all that facing Bond's demons stuff - to me it's still possible that they are heading to Italy for the very end of the film. @ggl007 said, if I recall correctly, that the wedding will happen in the end of the film. Now we have the V8 - the car Bond will take in London and will feature in the Norway climax - is in Sapri marina. Yes, there is also the DB5, but keep in mind that they will film by the Tirrenian coastal road in quite a different bunch of places. So some scenes may be filmed for Bond heading to Matera, with the DB5, while others for Bond goin back with the V8 after the climax. More specifically, the Arcomagno beach seems the obvious place for feature the long-rumored wedding.

Look at this place. We know Craig will film there for just one day...

Sassilive months ago said a party would take place there. :)

But I never quite understood the "jamaican" part of that story, since they spent months in Jamaica filming.

Perhaps it was cheaper or easier to film that "party" in Italy. Or let such a huge spoiler for later in the schedule...

Yes. I recall Fiennes was rumored to feature there. So makes sense for M attending Bond's marriage. At this point sounds likely that those Italian beach locations - Arcomagno / Marina di Pisticci will double for the Jamaican marriage/party for end of the film...

I wonder if ESB will show up ruining everything... sounds too "happy" to me.

This film will not end with a wedding.....believe me.

Daniel Craig is planning on retiring. If you marry him of at the end, then you are simply begging for a sequel where the girl gets killed, he goes for revenge, blah blah blah.....it isn't happening.

Plus, f they marry him off for the finale, that would be the most tepid ending. I'm getting Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull vibes. What a flaccid ending to a terrific series. It's so twee and saccharine.

    2cc1541a2b02b665-600x338.jpg

I think this report is the most interesting:
    https://www.mirror.co.uk/film/bond-baddie-rami-malek-killed-14793044

It seems to be that this is the true ending that Fleming purists would want. It's certainly the one I want.
Plus, it's all the rage now killing off the hero. Eon have always followed trends, so I can imagine them jumping head first into this idea. We' seen the following iconic characters bite the bullet recently:
    1. Wolverine
    2. Han Solo
    3. Luke Skywalker
    4. Iron Man
    5. Captain America
    6. Nolan's Batman (kinda)

Eon will want to give Craig a big finale - and a "death" scene.

People are welcome to hate the idea. But we all know how Eon think these days and Broccoli would sooner choose a 'death' finale than a 'wedding'. This idea screams modern Eon. For better or worse.

Well, David Arnold might not compose this time around, but he's sure getting royalties each time that arrangement is used - which is an awful lot!
  • Back to filming, which happens to be with the DB5 again. Hopefully with the right driver this time.

Sapri location fire - arsonist suspected

I know someone wrote briefly about it yesterday. Some bastard with matches tried to halt the production who was filming the cars along the SS 18 coastal road between Sapri -Acquafredda. Twice the grass was set on fire, tuesday evening and wednesday morning in the same area, right above the lagoon-location Midnight beach.

Local mayor is red hot pissed off according to local news :D

Wednesday afternoon prod. could resume shooting again; full on stunt driving followed by the choppercam
