    This looks good.

Right? And I know Hopkins has always been a legend but he's really, really knocking it out of the park these last few years. It's been great seeing him shift away from those generic DTV thrillers and back into proper indie and classics territory. His performance in The Father may be one of, if not the, greatest performances of the century.

Haven t seen that one, but yes, the performances was something that stood out in this trailer. That kid must be an up and coming star. Good message as well.

I'd absolutely recommend it then. It's harrowing and soul-crushing but beautifully performed. It's like a grounded, realistic horror movie, in a sense, really nightmarish stuff, especially if you're paying close attention to the sets and actors. I loved it so much.

Of course. Looking forward to your thoughts if you ever get around to seeing it.

I thought the same after watching it. The Father is a horror movie. I'm sure I'll also watch The Son at some point.

If Reiser and Ashton return, I'll be so happy.
    There's Ashton and Reinhold.

@mattjoes, it got a 10 minute standing ovation - The Son, that is. All these glowing reviews have me all the more excited.

It's incredible to me how great Ashton looks at his age. I can't wait to see them back in action. I'll try to maintain optimism and hope it's another stellar Netflix-Murphy pairing after their excellent and hilarious Dolemite Is My Name.

Seems like Hugh Jackman also got some good notices from the film.

Ashton looks pretty good. His weight seems to have stayed the same over the years, or he might even be a bit slimmer. I haven't seen him in much, but apart from the BHC films, he was so much fun to watch in Midnight Run. His character makes some dumb mistakes, but is no idiot either. It works so well with him and De Niro being antagonistic, then being forced to temporarily cooperate, then back to being antagonistic.

I remember Ashton played a guard in that Instinct movie with Anthony Hopkins, but I don't remember much about the role itself.

I've got to watch that Dolemite movie. So much to watch, read, do. But I guess I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll skip the trailer and just watch the movie when it's released.

This is the first post-Whiplash film of his that I'm really, really excited to see (though I did finally check out La La Land last week and thought it was fabulous).

Still not watched Whiplash heard it was good, not a fan of musicals so avoided La La Land, though I do like Emma Stone as an actress. There are quite a few new directors around work that I am not familiar with.

Whiplash is my favorite film of the last decade. You gotta check it out ASAP.

I hope it can live up the the first film. The fight with Amy Johnston, is my favourite movie fight in many years.
