So today is the wife’s birthday and we’ve checked into a hotel in Trafalgar Square. The lady offered us an upgrade owing to the Corona issues. So our new room she told us was the former office of Cunard, and in our room the first SOS signal was received from the stricken Titanic. Which was very cool, then to the side of one wall is a small plaque saying it was also used as M’s Office in Dr No. having checked footage the wood panelling is exactly right, despite some people saying it was shot at Pinewood. The windows are also all identical all be it painted in modern colours. How cool is that?

Ooh, I would love to see that. Can you take pictures?

Fascinating: it would seem bizarre they wouldn’t build that as a set but who knows I guess.

In the questions thread, @QBranch answered the last one:

    It's a ship's hand-pumped fog horn!

    Edit:
And the Louis Poulsen PH 4/3 table lamp is M's lamp of choice in her very modern looking QoS office:

Thank you, @PropertyOfALady! Haven't been able to do much digging into the items from M's various offices yet, but I hope I will find out more.

Nice work! Doesn't she have those groovy Interstuhl chairs in that office too?

And she has a thing for nice chairs apparently. The Eames Lounge Chair makes several appearances (TWINE, DAD, CR):

I really liked the style of the Brosnan era office tbh.

I just noticed she's put a massive vase of flowers in front of her hidden sliding wall screen in TWINE. Do we think it stopped working after GoldenEye? I bet she could never get the maintenance men to turn up or it was stuck on the wrong HDMI or something and just gave up using it :D

She must've figured it out by DAD. :)

    You are very helpful.

    Happy to help!

Just for fun, I though I'd see what these Artemide and Anglepoise lamps cost. I don't think I'll be buying a new lamp anytime soon, because these are very expensive!
