A slight drop in the case of Spy. I wonder where Spy will end up at the end of the tournament, however?

Goldeneye above TSWLM is a disappointment. I am increasingly of the opinion that Spy doesn't get enough love around here.

Let's make it a hat-trick of third Bond movies, with Skyfall. It finished a measly 13th in 2014. Somehow I don't see SF's reputation being much better.

    Skyfall, 2012

    /10
    1. Direction – 8 (Mendes' done good)
    2. Screenplay – 8 (The first half – prior to the London escape, I find this to be most engaging)
    3. Script – 9
    4. Plot – 7 (logic sacrificed for thematic strength, it seems)
    5. Action – 8 (I enjoyed the action – more thriller, less set piece)
    6. Main Villain – 10 (owing a great deal to Fleming's Scaramanga me thinks)
    7. Main Bond Girl – 8 (Severine not M ;-) )
    8. Bond – 9 (If only I could give out half points!)
    9. Sets – 7
    10. Music – 7 (minus marks for the generic, superhero piece of music when Bond hangs onto the elevator)
    11. Cinematography – 10 (A real highlight of the series)
    12. Fleming – 8 (I felt that Fleming's spirit haunted this picture)

    /5
    13. Supporting Cast – 5
    14. Main Titles – 5 (In Kleinman we trust)
    15. Plausibility – 3 (Silva's premonition in London?)
    16. Pace - 4
    17. Editing –5
    18. Tilt – 4

    125/150 = 83.33%

    Royale's Ranking -

    Goldfinger – 91.33%
    Dr. No – 88.66%
    The Living Daylights – 84%
    Skyfall – 83.33%
    Thunderball – 82.66%
The Spy Who Loved Me – 82%
    Quantum of Solace – 81.33%
    GoldenEye – 79.33%
The World Is Not Enough – 74.66%
    Moonraker - 72.66%
The Man With The Golden Gun – 67.33%

Not bad. In fact, if you swapped Spy and SF that's pretty much how I would rank them, provisionally.
