It's interesting how I'm getting slightly different rankings to how I would normally rank the Bond films. Surprised that I've got Moonraker above TWINE and how high my percentage for TMWTGG came out.

Indeed - I love TWINE, but with these type of games, it doesn't do well. An interesting experiment methinks.

    GoldenEye, 1995

    /10
    1. Direction – 9 (Campbell would outdo himself 11 years later to such an extent that I cannot possibly give him a 10 here relative to his very much earned 10 for CR)
    2. Screenplay – 10 (One of the best action film screenplays ever)
    3. Script – 9 (docked a point for "the things I do for frequent flyer miles)
    4. Plot – 10 (A 00 agent is the bad guy? Sign me up!)
    5. Action - 9 (this would be a 10 if not for the awful sound editing; those explosions sound so fake and have no presence)
    6. Main Villain – 10 (Almost the best ever)
    7. Main Bond Girl - 10 (God I love Natalya)
    8. Bond – 6 (my only problem with the film really; I'm not as anti-Brosnan as I used to be on here but if it weren't for the stellar cast around him, Brosnan might not have been asked back after this)
    9. Sets – 10 (This is a Ken Adam level film. I do not say that lightly)
    10. Music – 9 (Yeah. I'm sick of defending myself for this. I even liked Ladies First this time around. Shoot me.)
    11. Cinematography – 8 (Standard Campbell fare, really.)
    12. Fleming - 9 (The docked point is for being the first Bond film to have 0% material from the novels, but this is about as Fleming as it gets. This is Bond for the 21st century)

    /5
    13. Supporting Cast – 5 (Duh)
    14. Main Titles - 5 (Duh)
    15. Plausibility - 5 (Nothing is deus ex machina'd in. Everything in this film happens for a reason and Trevelyan's scheme is not only plausible, but intelligent.)
    16. Pace - 5 (Neither frontloaded nor backloaded)
    17. Editing - 4 (God, those explosions are so. Bad!)
    18. Tilt – 5 (Right. I love GoldenEye. I think it is a quintessential Bond adventure right up there with Casino Royale or OHMSS or From Russia With Love. I'm disappointed that Dalton didn't get this film and I do feel that it would be improved if you'd made the exact same movie with him in Brosnan's place. That being said I have no complaints about the film - although Brosnan is very unsure and even stiff in his performance at times, so I guess I do have a complaint haha - and could watch it any time.)

I find GE to be slightly overrated. Let's see what the community has to say -

    Community %-
    2014 % = GoldenEye – 78.94% (Which placed 5th in our 2014 game)
    2016 % = GoldenEye – 80.12%

A slight raise from the 2014 results.

    Community Ratings 2016-

    Dr. No – 80.88%
    The Living Daylights – 80.73%
    GoldenEye – 80.12%
    Quantum of Solace – 74%
    Thunderball – 73.27%
The Man With The Golden Gun – 69.6%
The World Is Not Enough – 69.03%
    Moonraker – 66.81%

    Community Ratings 2014

    GoldenEye - 78.94%
    Dr No – 78.7%
    The Living Daylights – 78.61%
    Thunderball – 77.47%
    Moonraker - 67.4%
The World Is Not Enough - 63.85%
The Man With The Golden Gun – 61.33%
    Quantum of Solace – 59.40%

Again I think GE is doing to well this year. Great to see DN still up the top :P
