I can imagine the Snowden issue playing in the backdrop of Bond 24, but this film is clearly a separate development. It's good to Eon branch out from solely making Bond films.

This just had to be leaked, didn't it? There's Snowden invading my private internet session, just great!

Let's hope one of these non-EON films gets made. A lot of these are all talk. Best to luck but Bond should always be first.
  • I think Bond will always be first with EON and the Broccoli family. But with the windfall of income that Skyfall generated, and certainly plenty of down time on a 3 year schedule, Barb must have aspirations to try her hand at other things as well. We know that Cubby wouldn't have necessarily approved, Bond was his world and everything in it, but Harry felt differently and I know that was a point of contention between them.

    :)) with @Agent007391!

Could make for a pretty good movie? I am sure Eon would give it their own little touch of drama too! B-) Seeing as it is spy related? It may have a better chance of getting made by them than the others?

I can't wait for this film to be made and Snowden to leak the plot, that'd just be hilarious.
  • Dunno, that WikiLeaks films was a drag (no pun intended, Chelsea!) and what can you say about leaking info, it's not that thrilling. Though that actor from The Hangover would be good as Snowden, that's for sure. Then again we don't even know how this story will end. All this sounds like a cover for the next Bond film!

In some ways, MGW and BB seem to be following the Harry Saltzman model, rather than the Albert R. Broccoli model:

And of course that's not a good model to follow considering he went bankrupt.

I love this Barbara Broccoli quote:

“Sometimes there are internal pressures from a studio who want you to make it in a certain time frame or for their own benefit…We have to keep the deadlines within our own time limits.”

    Quality over quantity!
