We share seven films in our top 10 as well, but I can't agree with that 24th spot I'm afraid.

@LFS, welcome aboard! I'm a little bummed that you have QoS so low as it's one of my favorites, but I do understand people's issues with that film. Otherwise, nice list.

@Birdleson, has GF and FRWL always been your top two? I could be mistaken, certainly don't have it memorized, but it seems like they have been at the top as long as you've been here.

He swaps FRWL and OHMSS around sometimes, I think.

As long as I've been keeping the list (actually, there was one month a few years back where FRWL fell back one or two spots, hardly lasted). CR and OHMSS often switch.

What made you put it back at 2nd place?

Or perhaps just once, according to him, but good catch nonetheless.

They are my favorite Connery films as well, although I don't rank GF as high as you. FRWL is my number one.

Wow! Funny I pretty much switched around a few films in my top 10 pushing OHMSS way up to 3.

    1. GOLDFINGER (1964)
    2. FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963)
    3. ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE (1969)
    4. CASINO ROYALE (2006)
    5. DR. NO (1962)
    6. THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977)
    7. LIVE AND LET DIE (1975)
    8. THUNDERBALL (1965)
    9. QUANTUM OF SOLACE (2008)
    10. GOLDENEYE (1995)
    11. YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967)
    12. SKYFALL (2012)
    13. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981)
    14. LICENCE TO KILL (1989)
    15. THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (1974)
    16. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971)
    17. OCTOPUSSY (1983)
    18. THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987)
    19. A VIEW TO A KILL (1985)
    20. DIE ANOTHER DAY (2002)

    22. TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997)
    23. THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH (1999)
    24. SPECTRE (2015)

Not too many changes, aside from strong showings (relative to my past rankings) for both MR and AVTAK. Also the usual group that reside from 9-12 got jumbled up once again.

Was there a sequel to the original LALD ? ;)

Wonderful to see DN at #1, @LFS. Such a great film. And DAF at #9! That one can always use some extra love.

    Some observations:
    - As usual the top 5 stays the same with TLD, OHMSS and FRWL probably cracking my all-time top 30.
    - CR, DN and FYEO come into the top 10 taking the places of TB, TMWTGG and AVTAK.
    - We get a surprise amelioration of NSNA's ranking.
    - On the other side of the spectrum, heavy losses for TB and AVTAK I'm afraid.

I like the love for TWINE,an underrated Bond film to me.

Why the massive drop for TB and AVTAK ? Just gone off them,GG ?

I both still like them of course but they have some problems that bothered me more than they used to.

TB: pacing problems, the handling of Kutze and the editing during the fight with Largo.

AVTAK: obvious stunt doubles, the age of the Bond and Stacey screaming. Also don't think I've seen many films where either Paris or San Francisco looks so colourless.

    Thanks @Birdleson!

Definitely lots of fine things about LALD and QOS, both have fine scores and I would say Baron Samedi, Tee Hee, Mathis and QOS’s opera scene are brilliant.

However, Gloria Hendry and QOS’s action editing tend to give me the occasional headache ;)

I felt compelled to raise CR some notches. I nearly put TWINE last as I tried to watch it the other day but didn't get past the PTS. Somehow TWINE just isn't hitting the spot lately. Maybe next year when it turns 20, I'll feel nostalgic for it and have a new appreciation.

It’s funny you say that. I’m in the mood to watch TWINE again. I’ll have to do that tonight or tomorrow.

For years it was my favorite Pierce. Maybe I'll give it another shot soon?
Sure. It used to be in my Top 15, now is barely out of Bottom 5 of my list. I’m not expecting it to go much higher, if at all, but certain things about it do work. Sadly it just doesn’t collectively come together so well.
