Ain't that something?

Unfortunately, member #5000 is a spambot.. So I don't think we'll need to credit him/her/it here ;)

Instead, well done to all of us for making this wonderful community grow and prosper!

Let's toast with some classic forum champagne

Cheers,

Congratulations to MI6 Community on reaching 5000 members*. It may be a lot less than many of the other Bond forums, but we have instead vastly superior posting members here and that's what sets us apart as a James Bond online community. Here's to the next 5000!

*I myself joined as @Dragonpol on 11 December 2012 as MI6 Community Member No. 4076 - meaning nearly another 1000 members have joined since that date. That in itself is very impressive! I was never a member of the old KTBEU forum, though. I was a member of CBn Forums at that time instead. Better late than never, I suppose.

I only wished Mr/Mrs5000 was an actual contributing member but alas, we can't have it all. A nice number nonetheless.

Well said @Dragonpol. I'll take quality over quantity any day. This forum attracted me more than any other because of the intelligence and eloquence of the posters here. I'm glad that I joined and would like to thank everyone here for making this such a special place.

Could not agree more! If given the opportunity? I pop in each day to the forum and get involved with quite a few of the many differing topics on here.

Great news that we are now 5000 strong! Brilliant achievement! =D> Plenty of great people on here and I salute you all!

I'm quite a new member, and don't comment very much, but reading this forum is now part of my daily routine. Happy to be one of the 5,000!

Join us! Always nice to hear new member's opinions on the actors, films, and what they want from Bond in the future. Nice to have you along!

Congratulations to the MI6 community on reaching the big 5000, I've occasionally dipped into other James Bond forums, but I think it's very true what's been said about the superior posting members, generally people here seem welcoming, friendly, humorous, helpful, knowledgeable and generally tolerant. Well done to each and everyone of us for making this such a popular site to belong to. B-)

Thank you :) I will make an effort to get involved more seeing as I "lurk" so much!

These milestones are being reached at a quicker pace all the time. That is great to see.

Well done on 5,000 members MI6, it's all those people that make this place what it is.

We're nearly halfway there to beating the total of KTBEU!

Congratulations on that startling number, MI6. It is hard to believe that this site holds 5,000 members, yet very few come out and play with the rest of us in our various Bond-related discussions.

My thoughts exactly. 5,000 members, yet I can think of maybe 30 or 40 constant faces I see around these parts.

So this has been achieved in what ... 2 and a 1/2 years? Just curious.

Yes, it's strange indeed. Signing up to a forum and then never contributing.
  • 5,000 members - 40 or 50 active or regular participants

At least let's put things into some clearer perspective. And however I feel personally, it's a fine achievement for this forum and Yes it's a shame the 5,000th entrant had to be a spam type but it's still a decent number

Unfortunately, it appears there will be 4,999 in a short time as I really feel I have come to a decision, for reasons I wish not to elaborate on. I try to adhere to site rules so going to bite my damn tongue this time, but I feel I have reached my limit on one or two issues as of now
  • It has to be said- that soft-lens bottle of champagne pic looks slightly pornographic !

And please don't leave, Baltimore ! We need you even more better right now.

    & steven88, PLEASE COMMENT A LITTLE MORE PLEASE !

    Congratulations MI6 Community.

We might not have all 5,000 posting, but at least this forum can still attract members and not go stagnant, even in this quiet period between films.

@Baltimore_007 - If it's to do with the forum, I hope you'll reconsider.

Yes. I became sad going back over the page, realizing how many one-time strong and beloved members have just dropped off.
