    Hope he turns up in good health. He had such a tiny, almost insignificant part in Casino Royale but it was extremely memorable and he did a great job with it. From those few seconds he was on screen I got the impression that he's a fantastic actor, based on the memorability of the doctor alone.

    Strange situation indeed. Hopefully all is well, for all those worried for his safety.

    I for the life of me can't remember where he appears in Casino Royale, and it is my favorite film of the franchise.

    When Bond's poisoned, he's the doctor going "You'll be dead in two minutes unless you do exactly as I tell you." When Bond is instructed not to start the defibrilator before injecting himself with some sort of needle, he argues with the delay, shouting "His heart's gonna stop!"

    Brilliant acting, even though he's in the movie for all of 90 seconds.

    Okay, I thought it was either that scene or the hospital scenes/when Bond is in recovery nearer to the end. Thanks!

    Sorry I'm not with it today I'd just cut to the chase after reading the top comment I knew he played the doctor but I though he meant one when he was in hospital not the MI6 one.

    A small but memorable role. I hope he is safe and sound and I hope we will see more of his character in Bond movies.

    Sadly BBC are now reporting that his body has been found at the bottom of cliffs in East Sussex, an apparent suicide. Very sad news.

    Gosh this is really sad news. I was sort of hoping for some kind of temporary amnesia, or burn out, or something of the sort.

    That is the problem with depression: it can lead to suicide.

    I know his role in CR was small, but I always thought he was really good in it, he had a presence, when he is ordering Bond to save his life, he speaks with both authority and the right gravitas, he remains cool under pressure, very conscious about what's at stakes.
