Wasn't Max the Parrot owned by Diana Rigg before FYEO? Not sure if it was directly before, though, so I wouldn't know if EON got it from her.

Chrome the parrot aka Max in FYEO was originally owned by Diana Rigg and I believe voiced by actor Jack Hedley, who played Sir Timothy Havelock in FYEO?
Chrome also appeared in The Living Daylights during the scenes set at Blayden safe house.
