I've seen Skyfall twice yesterday. In many scenes it's masterly, great cinematography but the worst music in Bond series - I wouldn't give Newman second chance, come back Arnold! I also can't understand why gunbarrel is at the end - hope it's not the rule since QoS.

I just got home after watching it for the first time, and i absolutely loved every minute of it - cant wait to see it again, hopefully tomorrow..
  • Is it just me, but despite seeing it twice today and intend to see it again and again and again, its like christmas, you look forward to the build up and cant wait for the day, but once you opened all your pressies up, or in this case seen the film for the first time, you feel depressed because the anticipation as gone, and you find yourself wishing bond 24 would come quickly.

Once and my first in November. Eon Push me to see it in November with there release date of 31 October. I prefer December. Whyle i stil think Skyfall promotion have his flaws this time i hope to see Skyfall in a big theater room. With CR i wait 2 months after release date and almoost mist it. QOS i saw 5-6 weeks after release date in December.

Iam almoost 100% sjure about i whant see Skyfall in the second week of November in the same theater as i watching Die Another Day on the release date of 9 January 2003. Re-opend in 2011 and i expect the other one be sold out like happend with DAD and i don't like Rats. Whyle i know now a litle bit to expext from DC, people like Newman and return of Witt/Baid worried me. If the trailers don't ly then this already be a good thing.

I try to be open as possible. This time iam disapointed on litle things but not mad/not what to expect feeling. QOS first view feels good, so good i made review in couple of days and rejected some lies about the movie, but i expect problems like CR with Skyfall.

Based on my first view of it and or we get a good DVD/BD release from the start i hope i can see it for the second time then, if not it wil take 2 years and wil watch it on tv. I watch every Bond movie tv premiere since GE. Fact be that there mess with releases of CR and QOS and this wil infact my dession or wil buy Skyfall and for how much. Whyle i prefer to have Cr/QOS first i think there is change i wil have Skyfall first.

Watched it three times back to back in the space of nine hours today. Absolutely loved it. Can't wait to see it again. Don't know whether I'll equal my record of seeing QOS twenty-five times at the cinema - simply because I was "between jobs" back then and I'm not now.

How does one watch QoS 25 times???? And SF 3 times back to back?? Astonishing. I've seen SF twice today abd I'll probably see it twice or at least once tomorrow abd then after that, pace myself as I don't want to experience overkill.

I'll probably watch it twice, as opposed to the usual 5x in cinema. The new Craig-Bond series doesn't quite grab me the way the first 20 films did, plus with the Barbican show in town, and it's regular big screen showings of the other Bond-films for the next 13 weeks, I'm going to be grabbing as many of the Connery/Moore/Laz and Dalts, showings as I can get to. The Broz and Craig films too, but they will be screening later and not as often. SF's got competition.

Usually three viweing in movie theatres, the German dubbed version twice, and a third time the original un-dubbed version. Did so with CR, but I watched it about 10 times on DVD.

    Best since Goldeneye imo.

[img][/img]Saw the first showing on the Island at 10am yesterday and again at the red carpet event later on last night. Going again next week. I thought it was a excellent film with another good story, But not as good as CR for me.

  • Saw it last night and this morning. Will see it again next weekend, and that will be it for cinema visits. I always impose a limit of three on myself.

After seeing clips of it, I probably won't even see it once. It would probably end up with me walking out on it, similar to what I did with Casino Royale. It looks even worse than Casino Royale, actually.

    Muppet, unless you are joking!

Considering your name is "LeChiffre", and probably not because you like the Casino Royale novel, I'm not even going to give a retort. You most likely worship reboot Bond, meaning any criticism I have for it will not mean anything to you, which is why you decided to insult me and say "I must be joking", as if everybody on earth likes the reboot series, save for me.
  • @Dr_Metz Skyfall pretty much finishes the reboot so you should be alright for Bond 24.

Because I don't like reboot Bond? Sorry I don't have a crap taste in film. So sorry to have offended someone I just met.
Takes all sorts to be a Bond fan I guess. CR and SF to me are the best Bond films in the entire franchise, followed by LTK, FRWL, OHMSS and GF.

There again, I'm more a fan of the novels than the films anyway. I doubt you even know who Ian Fleming is.

I guess. With Skyfall though, it wasn't even the reboot part of it. It just looked really, really bad.

At least in my world I don't consider bad films good.

Oh really? So name your top 5 Bond films then, and I'll let you know if you are worthy of making such bold statements.....

Well, let's leave it there guys. Everyone has a right to an opinion. No need for personal comments.

Having said that, I hope we will all reserve our opinions until we see the films.

I just did this on another thread, and you could just look and see what my favorite film is on my profile, but whatever.

    1. Diamonds Are Forever
    2. Thunderball
    3. The Living Daylights
    4. From Russia With Love
    5. Licence to Kill

I love LTK and FRWL, so how can this be? You think I have terrible taste in Bond movies.....???

    Something has gone drastically wrong.

And the fact that you have DAF at no. 1 says it all really. End of discussion.
