Beside Bond carry Walther how about The Eqaulizer Denzel Washington which the Film already filming & The new Man From UNCLE both carry Walther pistol as their arm Trademark. Denzel can use the PPQ or P99. The UNCLE agent can use PPS or PK380. The TV series of those 2 show had use Walther. It will be good Weaponry trademark beside 007 weaponry trademark.

It looks a lot like the PPQ- one of my choices for Bond, and the one Bond will use in my fan fiction.

I writing this to tell all James Bond fans he will always stick with a Walther. If the classic PPK return in SPECTRE again that good. If a new Walther that will more great. We all glad PPK returns. So no talks about switching him away from his Walther. He will always carry his famous Walther. That 007 gun trademark. One more thing the Calibre is 380,9mm or 40 S&W. No 22 L.R. So that end of it. I repeat again Walther pistol always for 007.

I often wondered why Bond was given a PPK/S by Q rather than the usual PPK in Skyfall. It didn't really dawn on me until today that the reason may be due to the PPK/S having the longer grip which may have been needed to accommodate the custom grip that was coded to Bond's palm print. Just a theory B-)

I look at History channel of Semi Automatic in Tales of the Gun yes they showed the Walther gun included which was founder Karl Walther. Only P38,PP& including PPK. mentioned of WW2 in Germany. Also including carried by James Bond. It was presented only his Voice Thom Pinto the series went for 1 season only in 1998 they should had show the P99 as well. Walther Arms don't haven't new product this year.

Walther 45 PPQ M2 with 45calibre. http://www.handgunsmag.com/reviews/review-walther-ppq-m2-in-45-acp/ we all agreed that Walther Arms can do without the 10mm & 45 acp. It up to you whether you buy or try this gun I only tried the early Walther Pistols including PPk & PKK/S. Don't expect a 45 acp PPK. That will never happen I hope also I don't James Bond will ever shoot in the movies or in the Books. This new Walther 45acp is 12 rounds magazine capacity.

Well this year is the 130 anniversary of Walther arms. Which all know James Bond stick with this brand all the time in movies. That why I change the heading. This year upgrade on the PPS M2 [url="http://www.gunsandammo.com/shot-show-2016/first-look-walther-pps-m2-in-9mm/ let hope no 45acp version on his Walther Model.

Wasn't the Walther PPS Bond's sidearm in Carte Blanche?

Yep Walther has the new pistol forgive me for writing late it Q5 with 15 rounds which good for the Special Branch Police. Here the picture from the Walther arm web site.
http://www.waltherarms.com/handguns/q5-match/ it believe to be on PPQ platform. Come with eye telescope & the calibre 9mm only. I should say Walther have come with new guns lately.

I don´t really get the difference between the PPQ and the P99, but I wouldn´t mind Bond toting one of them.

The lines are surely different? And vastly I might add.

PPQ, though similar to P99 in design, is more in resemblance to USP .45 or a Walther P22.

They're very similar, the PPQ is called more ergonomic and has a newly developed trigger.

As long as Bond still uses the PPK, I don't mind either one of these for bigger jobs. But with the history of the P99 I'd go with that.

What I don't like are the smaller models: PPQ Sub-Compact and PPS. Those become pretty ugly little pieces.

    PPQ SC (Sub-Compact).

    PPS.

Does anyone mind if I do NOT celebrate the anniversary of an arms manufacturer? I'd rather see all of them gone. Even if their product is iconic in terms of Bond movies.

One of the things I'm glad they didn't give Bond among the Walther firearms was the P88, which itself looks like a Browning BDA ripoff, that Michael France originally intended to give Dalton's Bond in the first draft of GE. Glad that didn't pan out, and Bond ended up getting the P99.

Regarding the PPQ or the P22, I'd rather they don't make it to the materialized Bond archives either. They're too bulky, and a spy wouldn't carry a bulky firearm. I do wish the first-generation model P99 makes a comeback, though.

I'm not used to discussing the P22 and older P88 so wanted to post images here.

    P22.

P88. I definitely take the point for it looking like a Browning.

The line of the PPQ and the P99AS are pretty identical.

Almost, but not entirely. In anyways, I don't consider P99AS as an actual P99 myself since it customizes the gun's original concept heavily it hardly resembles a P99 but rather a P22. I was upset when they put the P99AS in the QoS video game and sold it in the interviews as "the gun used by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale" which was an instant bs.

Well Walther Arms have done again for the 2019 I just read in Guns & Ammo Glock rival Walther New Handgun called Walther Q5 Match SF. Which should beside 007 & British Secret Service. Also Police Elite squads Military. It 9mm with 15 & 17 rounds gun. I wouldn't mind this if I was in Secret Service ,Police Elite Force including Military elite forces. Let hope James Bond can use it Bond 25 instead of Classic Walther PPK & P99

Agreed. That thing is would be pretty large and cumbersome for a secret agent, especially considering it’s still only a 9mm. Not to mention Craig would have a difficult time concealing it under his form fitting suits.

I still never want to see the PPK completely replaced, but I do think Bond should occasionally carry one of Walther’s many polymer framed pistols from time to time. Especially if he is knowingly going into “battle” at the bad guy’s lair or something.

That's the ideal for me, @Seven_Point_Six_Five. Bond should remain Bond.

Although Daniel Craig has gone from the 007 role. Next James Bond should be issued this new Walther pistol to replace his classic PPK. Because it got every thing

Not bad at all. Takes a few minutes to get used to the outer appearance, but then it´s very nice to look at indeed.
