With all due respects to David Hedison, there is an extra thread for deaths within the "Bond Family".

Gutted about David Hedison passing away. Brilliant as Felix Leiter and many other roles. Had the VERY good fortune to meet a few years back, a complete gentleman and very happy to chat with the fans.

RIP David Hedison, thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

This has really been a bad day. First David Hedison, and now Christopher Kraft has passed away at age 95. Chris Kraft virtually invented the concept of mission control in the early 1960s and served as NASA’s first lead flight director for the one-man Mercury and two-man Gemini missions. During the Apollo era, he served as the Director of Flight Operations and later as the deputy Director of the Johnson Space Center. Since 2011, the building that houses NASA’s mission control bares his name. A legend.

RIP to a fine and intense actor. When I think of Rutger 2 films immediately come to mind - THE HITCHER and BLIND FURY!!

He was also excellent as the terrorist in the underrated Stallone vehicle NIGHTHAWKS (1981).

No way I can't believe Rutger Hauer has passed, he will be forever immortalised by his own improvised line in Blade Runner

Roy Batty... 'I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.'
One of my favourite lines from one of my favourite films, I will watch Blade Runner tonight.

I remember Rutger steal the show in Stallones cop drama Nighthawks 1981, that's the film that introduced me to Rutger, a good often forgotten film.
    R. I. P.

Edited: Looking through his work I completely forgot about The Osterman Weekend 1983 directed by Sam Sam Peckinpah. A film I have not seen for thirty years, due a rewatch.

I've even heard Jagger was to be Zorin ?

Hauer no showed Bham con last month , not so surprising now if he was very ill

He will be forever remembered for his stunning role in BLADE RUNNER.
Gosh, almost forgot about him being in Peckinpahs final film,
The Osterman Weekend, saw that in the cinema on its initial release. Has quite a cast!

    75 is much too early!

    RIP Rutger Hauer

He stays unforgettable in Blade Runner, but every film he was in was lifted to another Level through his participation.

Something that I didn't know until yesterday was that Rutger Hauer was actually offered the role of a Bond villain in the 1980s.

From our own @jamesbondlive on Twitter:

RIP Rutger Hauer. An iconic actor who will forever be remembered for his role as Roy Batty in Blade Runner. In 1984, he was offered the part of Max Zorin in A VIEW TO A KILL but turned it down. He wanted to play 007 instead.

    RIP Rutger Hauer

It's a shame Hauer wasn't cast in a Bond opus. Hauer starred in "Hobo with a Shotgun", a deliciously shoclky, ultra violence film, and is one of my favourites.
