    The point, as already explained, is that otherwise someone can guess 3, 4 or 29 characters in a row.

    Wait for the host to confirm if a guess is correct or incorrect, then try again. Simples!

    I doubt someone would do that. You fail to see the point. People do not have time to spend all day on the forum. They may study the clues and submit their answers at one time and return to see if their guesses are correct. Waiting for the provider of the clues to tell you, that you are wrong. Or waiting for someone else to have a turn suits those who do have that luxury. I just think it's pointless. A more logical process would be to limit it to 3 guesses a day or that someone else guesses before you can guess again after you have guessed your 3.
