Why would anybody need an explanation?

Do people stay up wondering why Pierce looks so good despite being 75 years old?

No. Those are fake Bond films.

Haha! Well those are my Bond DVDs, as opposed to my twenty Bond blurays. So I understand. What I don't understand is anybody trying to make a timeline of pre-Craig Bond. Was Dalton's Bond really in a space battle?

    Yes, why not?

Sorry, no, that's not a man who was in a space battle. Or fought a man with metal teeth and balls

But he was nearly killed by an x-ray camera that made the skeletons show in a photograph.

Are you unable to perceive a difference in tone between Moonraker and Licence to Kill? Really?

Sorry if that offends you, Mr Newton. For the record, I vastly prefer LTK over MR.

He's just joking with you, friend. You'll get used to Thundy's sense of fun.

When fun resembles inability to understand movies, I do get confused. ;-)

Henceforth, I'll assume he's pretending to be stupid. Or maybe...Moonraker's well-shot scene of Corinne's death means it's a serious European horror film, and that I should consider the entire film from that context.

No, he's just playing with you, tiger. ;)

Corrinne s death scene is not a moment I enjoy.I find it unsettling and out of place.

Well, it's hard to distinguish from "dumb guy saying dumb stuff", so it's hard to react to.

    [spaces come after full stops]

Yeah, I agree. It's a well-shot scene, but wildly inconsistent with the tone of the film.

Trust me, when you're a member here for a while it'll become a whole lot easier!

    Shouldn t spaces have a capital S?

In a bracketed phrase like that, it's really however you like. Not like how after a full stop you always have a space.

But this is pedantic. I'd rather hear about Timothy Dalton in space, as recorded in the film Moonraker. :-D

Someone should make a fan trailer.

Timothy Dalton was in space once...

Agreed. I bet it would look totally fluid, and not out of place at all, given that the guy who once became Japanese also went to space, saved the human race more than once, and then became totally gritty and down to earth. Bond in LTK did 15 crazy missions before that, and it's all in a reasonable timeline.

I wouldn t say all 15 previous missions were completely crazy.

Who is the man in the photo on Kerim Bey's desk? In the novel he has a photo of Churchill but I'm not sure it's him in the film.

It's shown prominently twice. Panama hat and a cigar. Anyone know?

It's definitely Churchill even in the film

If you mean this one, it's Winston Churchill for sure.

Yes I can see it now, just didn't look like him when it flashed up. Thanks.
